Hyatt Place Lexington in Lexington

The wife and I went here to use a gift card, and we were trying to make the most of what money was on the card; sort of a budget luxury. We each got a medium-well steak with normal sides and water and a soda respectively. When my wife's arrived it was over cooked, but before she could even say anything about it, the server told her she'd have a new one brought out with new sides and to just enjoy the sides she had in meantime. She also went out of her way to smuggle us some paper napkins that they normal reserve for coffee and aren't used as table napkins, since my wife needs to dab greasy foods to help alleviate IBS symptoms. The new plate arrived, the manager came over and apologised, and then not only did they give us the second plate free but also gave us a dessert for free. I tried a bite of her redone steak and it was *amazing*--better than my correctly cooked steak the first time. This was all done very quickly also, which was impressive in and of itself because they had a thirty-person-large birthday party come in. They never paid less attention to the smaller 2-4 person parties in spite of that large party arriving, which I really appreciated. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly, and did everything she could to make our visit enjoyable--all we ever had to do was eat, really, she took care of the miscooked steak and everything for us. When we applied the giftcard at the end, we ended up only paying about $11 (plus a hefty, well-earned tip for our waitress) for about $60 of food. Don't let the occasional miscooked steak fool you--this was a great experience for us.
