Wonder View Inn - Bar Harbor Collection in Bar Harbor

Hotel is old, musty, and noisy but the sheets are clean. The rooms have a view of the bay but you have to look past the highway and an abandoned loading dock complex to see it. Continental breakfast is really bad. On the good side, this is a sister property to the Bar Harbor Regency across the street, so if you cross the road amd walk for 5 minutes you can use their pool, restaurants, and hot tub. This salvaged the hotel stay for our kids. Also at the Regency is a bus stop that you can use to go all over the island FOR FREE courtesy of LL Bean. Not having to drive our car around after a 3 day trip to get here was very nice. I guess you can say the nicest thing about this hotel is the ability to use a different hotel's pool and the proximity to a bus stop.

Is what it is... Best price Best Value considering the area.. Room was clean ..but very small... Front desk and workers were friendly.. also able to use pool and amenities at hotel across street... WiFi not so good.. Nice stay!

The beds were clean, but the tables and bathroom did not seem to have been cleaned. The carpets were outdated, with outdoor carpeting as well which seemed odd.

Room smelled like mold/mildew as soon as we came in the door. Didn't look like caulk/sealant had been used around the base of the newer shower or sink. Had to take allergy meds to control symptoms, but bed was super comfortable and housekeeping was very helpful. Other hotel options were limited over the busy weekend. Breakfast offerings were limited to a few grab and go items, with no variety from day to day and seating in the breakfast area was limited.
