The Elmere House Bed & Breakfast in Wells

We stayed at Elmere House in July 2013. It was a wonderful 3 days! Son Mi was so welcoming and the breakfasts she made were great. She gave us helpful information about places to go in the area. When we return to Maine, we will stay there again. This was our first bed and breakfast experience.

From the moment we arrived for our honeymoon, owners Michael and Bill greeted us with smiles and made us feel so welcomed. The accommodations are tastefully decorated and in pristine condition. Everything was impressive from the cleanliness to the superb breakfast cuisine!! The location was just perfect and accessible the fine seafood dining, shopping, and beaches. The owners gave excellent recommendations to us during our stay that were helpful and spot on! Thank you Bill and Michael for making our visit so fantastic!

I had the best time while staying here. The food is fabulous, rooms were clean, decor was welcoming, and the landscaping was beautiful. Most importantly, Michael and Billy made you feel like family…I miss them so much and they always put a smile on my face. They made great food recommendations, were accommodating, and were so friendly and funny! I’ll definitely be coming back to visit. If we’re ever back in town, we will be staying here again! Michael and Bill were natural hosts. My food restrictions were accommodated so kindly, and the blueberry bread and cinnamon cake were out of this world.

This was the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed (but also didn’t reek of cleaning products like some hotels do). Between the comfy bed and ceiling fan we both slept well.

We really enjoyed the yard area with a gas fire pit, it was a great spot to end our evening.

Gorgeous, historic house, a beautiful bed and breakfast! The hosts, Bill and Michael, are welcoming, professional, and very knowledgeable about area attractions, activities, and restaurants. They make you feel at home by paying attention to every detail and making sure you have everything you need. Everything is spotlessly clean. Delicious homemade breakfasts every morning and lovely, relaxing yard to sit, relax, read, or visit. Highly recommend!!!

We spent a very special 3 nights at Elmere House for our anniversary. The lovingly renovated house and lush landscaping are inviting and welcoming. The charming hosts, Michael and Bill, are so personable, with delightful senses of humor and are more like family or long lost friends. They outdid themselves to accommodate our every need. Our room was spacious yet cozy, relaxing and easily accessible. Delicious breakfast choices varied each day, including homemade coffee cake, Gluten-free choices and the best home fries ever! We fell in love with this B & B and are looking forward to coming back in October.
