Lovely hotel in the center of town. The lobby staff could have been friendlier. The breakfast place staff were great!

Headline: We will never stay at this hotel again. If you value a good night’s sleep you won’t get it here!!! We stayed at a 6th floor king sized bedroom with a Mirror Lake view right on Main Street. During our 4 night stay, not even one smile from the staff… terrible service. After every snow day, even with half an inch of snow, street cleaning started around 3AM every night. Sounded like a construction zone with heavy equipment… literally. Even thought it was a king size room I felt like I was a peasant living in a chicken coop because of the amount of times I’ve hit myself on the furniture to get to the other side of the bed. There is also very little storage if you are someone who likes to unpack like we do. It’s ridiculous that we came back tires from our vacation.

We would’ve given 5 stars but the staff didn’t seem to have a lot of personality. Even other guests there said the same thing. Check-in was at 4, our room wasn’t ready until 4:45, but they did offer us free breakfast because of it so that was nice. The room was very nice and spacious as well as clean. Nice hotel, just staff needs to lighten up and not be so serious.

Front desk staff could be more personable. I had a few eye rolls and blunt statements. I have stayed here a handful of times and not the first for this behavior. We also went to front desk for bedding for the pull out couch waa told they would have it delivered to the room and it never came. Other than that hotel is clean convenient and calet parkong was. Nice and that staff was polite.

the hotel rooms are loosing too much heat because of poor insulation. some of the windows in the corner are single glass. The excessive heating required is uncomfortable, dries out the air etc. I cannot recommend this hotel in winter

When we went to check in, we walked up to the front desk and we had booked two suites to celebrate my daughter’s 18th birthday. When I gave my name, the front desk agent with no emotion told me that I had been downgraded and would only have one suite and one king room. She said that They are often overbooked because of third parties. Besides that, one morning, I was woken up really early to huge banging above me on the ceiling, so I called the front desk and asked nicely what was above my room and she told me that it was the fifth floor in a sarcastic voice they also brought the wrong bedding, The concierge or valet man didn’t empty my car. He stood there and watched my kids do it after I gave him a $20 tip and there was no coffee the second morning we were there. I would never go there again.

The $24 valet parking charge is a joke. I parked my own car along with the other 10 cars in the parking lot. It was never moved or needed to be moved. I handed my keys away and got them back in the morning for $24…sad

This is an older property well maintained. You can feel the history in its building. The room I had was a double queen and had a sitting room. It's nice not to have to sit on your bed to watch tv. There was a tv in both the sitting room and the bedroom.
The bathroom was very lux. High end finishes.
The beds were comfortable with FULL SIZE pillows. Much appreciated.
Am planning on returning soon.

The open mic is terrific. A very solid band backs up individual artists from the area and encourages people just visiting.

Great alternative BBQ spot to Smoke Signals. Smaller quieter space. Try the frog legs done like chicken wings! Their spare ribs are good too!

Food was great, they were able to easily accommodate our large party. Server was excellent and went above and beyond to make sure the two young kids with us were happy!

Service was fine and food was ok. Only real eyebrow raise I had was with their "sangria". I ordered a white sangria and was served a bright pink cocktail. Took a sip, and it was definitely a sex on the beach. I've worked in food service most of my adult life, so I'm not about complaining over a drink. But even the waitress called it a sangria and it said sangria on the check. Put on my big girl pants and drank it. But overall wasn't impressed with anything about this place.

Really enjoyed our meal here. Staff even helped look after our baby! So we could eat. Would highly recommend.

This was a very pleasant stop for dinner as we sorted out the options for the next few days in the area. The waitstaff was courteous and the pizza was very good.

Pizza slices are pretty good, but mine could have use a little more time heating back up in the oven. Also had the lasagna special which seemed to take a long time, but I don't know what they had to put into it to get it together. When it arrived it was approx 1 million degrees. Once it cooled down it was good, but not outstanding. Essentially I went here because it was right next to the North Woods hotel where I was staying.

Food was sub par and way over priced. Staff was no helpful. 2nd night we visited, because we are trapped in the hotel in -10 weather the we could not be seated (in empty restaurant) because it was booked by "private parties" ....

Nice place hostess was nice but the waitress was not friendy . I asked for a fried egg on my burger and she said with (attitude) we are not going to cook an egg. F this place and her tip.
