The common areas in the hotel lobby were laid out very well with fireplaces and all in a very cozy Adirondack style.

Very cozy mountain lodge feel. Drinks by the fireplace, great views from the rooms, spacious pool/rec area, Breakfast buffet had all the bases covered plus a few extras. Great location- close to everything but just out of reach of the bustle on Main St. Could use a MUCH bigger hot tub.

The room was in good condition and seemed clean, and our view and the hotels location was very nice as well. The staff at front desk were friendly and helpful. The rooms could use an update and a small market/gift shop would be nice to have. The food was average. I rate as 3.5 stars.

This was a pleasant piece of winter wonderland in the North Country. The hotel is a six minute walk from the Olympic museum and also from good restaurants. I was happy to have access to the gym which was well furnished with different equipment. It was also quiet despite the bottle being full of people in the morning. It felt like a little bit of Switzerland.

My family and I have been staying at the Lake Placid Crowne Plaza for over a decade. It is the only place we stay. We love Lake Placid and our boys (who are now 11 and 14) love this hotel- the pool is large and there is a hot tub. High Peaks Resort is on the main street through Lake Placid, putting it within walking distance of a broad seletion of restaurants, bars and shops. We had a balcony view, but never looked outside because it was usually dark by the time we got back from skiing. The pool and jacuzzi also looked nice, but we never got a chance to try it out. Staff was friendly.

We stayed in the main building and loved the attention to holidays and activities for the family from movie nights to painting and face painting. The room was clean, the facilities were well kept. Overall a great stay and service was wonderful.

It was great overall. But when i made reservation i didnt know i was not in main hotel but suxilliary building. It eas nicely located on the lake. But i wanted to b in hotel proper.

Balcony view was gorgeous! Bed was incredibly comfortable, although the room design/decor felt a bit dated.

We would’ve given 5 stars but the staff didn’t seem to have a lot of personality. Even other guests there said the same thing. Check-in was at 4, our room wasn’t ready until 4:45, but they did offer us free breakfast because of it so that was nice. The room was very nice and spacious as well as clean. Nice hotel, just staff needs to lighten up and not be so serious.

Front desk staff could be more personable. I had a few eye rolls and blunt statements. I have stayed here a handful of times and not the first for this behavior. We also went to front desk for bedding for the pull out couch waa told they would have it delivered to the room and it never came. Other than that hotel is clean convenient and calet parkong was. Nice and that staff was polite.

the hotel rooms are loosing too much heat because of poor insulation. some of the windows in the corner are single glass. The excessive heating required is uncomfortable, dries out the air etc. I cannot recommend this hotel in winter

Great location and nice roomy rooms. Breakfast was ok, limited selection and slow. Valet parking was great.

Good location Wall heating unit a bit noisy at night since the bed is right next to it. The bar at night should have finger foods at least to be offered on a small limited menu. Things that are already ready just need to stick in micro wave. Main issue was the pool was not open during our stay.

Room was ok. Location was great to town and dog sled. TV was placed in awkward location with no swivel to view the bed for the Deluxe bedroom. Pool was also not available to use. I also wish the breakfast had more items to select from.

There was a very loud new years eve party with DJ directly below us which we were not informed about in advance, loud heavy bass music until 1am. The staff were all lovely but the hotel seemed understaffed and the room was only cleaned once when we had to request it. Basic amenities such as a boot tray and a wine opener are not in the rooms; there was no knife or bagel cutter to cut bagels at breakfast...

Beautiful hotel with beautiful views of Mirror Lake. Walk to town and near all of the restaurants in Lake Placid.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and had a lot of storage for ski gear. Beds were comfortable. Could have been cleaner.

The woman in charge of the front desk tonight did an awesome job of handling a busy check in with a smile and great attitude. I recommend you hang in to her with a very nice raise and promotion.

We had a fantastic stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious and had all amenities we needed. Breakfast was above average. It is situated in a prime location as well. Being that we were primarily there to ski at Whiteface, it was a short 15 minute drive. Everything in the town of Lake Placid is within minutes. Would highly recommend!

Very clean hotel and room. Very welcoming front desk staff. Perfect location to walk to the Olympic Center and shops restaurants on Main Street. If ever inn Lake Placid again, I will stay here.

Our family of four stayed for 4 nights. The hotel was the perfect choice for us! The convenience to town was amazing, the room was great with a nice view, and the staff to a person was polite, friendly, and helpful. We would absolutely stay again!
