Hillwinds Inn in Blowing Rock

Clean room. Staff was accommodating. Easy parking. Location is accessible to dining spots and close to downtown.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location makes it easy to get to Main Street too. The staff was frie dly, helpful and kind. A great place to stay!!

The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was courteous and kind. Great location as walking distance to breakfast and main street shopping.

Everything during my stay (staff, parking, price, especially the room, convenience; I can't express how excellent and perfect everything was.

The room was clean, safe and very cozy! The whole property has an adrable oldfashion vibe complete with a real door key, not a card. The rooms were easily accessible with parking right in front of your door. We visited on a very busy weekend and had a room closer to the main road, but it was still quiet. It is in walking distances of all the shops, dining and even the wonderful Blowing Rock Art and History museum. I strongly recommend walking as parking outside of the inn lot is few and far between.

This was a lovely older property that has been upgraded. It was extremely comfortable and the amenities were more than expected. It’s a block or two from Main Street and there are many eateries and boutique shops there. A nice breakfast spot is across the street. The information given out at check in was generally good but gave the wrong location of the ice machine. The only real downside is that we could not figure out how to get the TV to operate properly. There were two remotes but only one seemed to work and that one you couldn’t control the volume or channel selection. The other one which appeared to be a cable box controller didn’t seem to work at all. Maybe they were just too smart for us. But that was pretty minor in the overall experience.

Location had easy access to downtown. Rocking chairs on balcony was enjoyable. Parking was easy. Check in was easy and professionally done. We stayed in the Davidson Suite that was spacious with a king bed, kitchen, sitting area, and large bathroom with shower and jetted tub. Very private 2nd story.
