OYO Hotel Greensboro East I 40 in Greensboro

Threadbare linens with many cigarette holes burned in old small thin spread and in sad, uncomfortable bed and chair. Big room with small bed and chair. It was clean though. Had people standing just outside door talking loudly till very late but place so seedy I was afraid to open door and ask them to be quiet. The ‘staff’ lady was decent just not too interested in working. Asked twice for bathtub plug that never came, and asked for ground level room for my age and lupus, but assured I could manage 2nd floor if I parked near stairs where I had to drag up my suitcases one stair at a time. Seemed like a nice pool but some absurd explanation was given for it being closed…sign said ‘closed for season’ and it was August in NC!I I should’ve know better when it’s huge sign was laying sideways on the ground at the entrance, like a defeated false god, but I was so tired! I got out as soon as possible in the morning so can’t comment about a breakfast. Almost left at midnight because it was so bad but stuck it out till dawn. Oh…and they charged me I guess about $30 for my dog, as if my little 6# service dog could have ruined anything. So total was over $100 for a place they should’ve paid me to stay! Really hesitating on Choice Hotels these days

Paid for our room online with mothers card after being on the road for over 20 hours. Because she was not with us we could not stay there. Did not say that on the web site. Would do nothing to help and were nothing but EXTREMELY RUDE from the moment we walked in the door. Needless to say they kicked us out without refunding my mom's money. So piad them for a service, never even got to see the room. Kicked us out after we refused to pay them more money for the same room we had already paid for. That is stealing.... WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!!! I don't understand how they can get away with stealing.... would have called the police if I thought it would have helped. WARNING..... DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY OF YOUR MONEY ESPECIALLY ON A CREDIT CARD.

The room smelled. It was the dirtiest room I’ve ever stayed in. We are used to staying in cheaper hotels, so I wasn’t expecting anything glamorous for the price, but it was NASTY. Hair in the bed, dirty pillow cases, who knows what splattered all over the walls. The bedside lamps didn’t even work. Just gross.

This had to be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at, starting with the checkin. The lady at the front desk was rude. But we let it go thinking she was having a bad day. But to our surprise most of the staffs were rude as well. As if they wasn't happy to be there. At breakfast both mornings two different staff members and they both was very nasty and rude. Then the rooms, they were so nasty. They don"t clean the floors or the mirrors. The comfort on the bed had more wholes in it that it was bearly a sheet. The desk had ashes left from the previous guest. They have never pulled anything out to clean behind it. There were roaches in the room. The restroom looks like it was never clean.We had to get our own supplies to clean the room. I really can't believe that Choice Hotels back this kind of business. We will NEVER stay there again.
