Great room for the price. Tv not working upon arrival but maintenance got it working in about an hour. Hotel restaurant only stayed open for a few hours which was disappointing so we ordered pizza delivery. All in all, I would stay again.

Staff were friendly and helpful, room were nice clean with good shower. Hotel parking was very large. Restaurant/ bar had plenty to choose with good service.

The hotel was fine but dated. The shower didn’t work well and the toilet took some work to flush. I just had to stay one night and only really needed it to sleep and shower in the morning, so it was fine for me

Clean room; Very accomodating staff - we came in late and they were so kind. They also offered a microwave as we had a baby with us and needed to warm her bottles. They were very warm and friendly especially since it was over the Christmas holiday. Tracy & Shadreka in the 700 Bistro restaurant were very considerate and went above & beyond - even got me fresh lemon slices and honey for a sore throat...

The staff was super friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early as well as get a late checkout time, and everyone seemed genuinely interested in making sure we had a great stay.

Room was clean but had a weird smell. Thermostat was broken but they fixed it upon request. Staff was great.

We liked the hotel, it was clean and very comvinent located in dowtown. Breakfast was good. My recomendaton is that the parking situation need to improve. Practically the hotel is not reponsible for parking at all.

Good property in downtown Norfolk next to the harbor. Staff at front desk rectified a situation at check in and handled it very well. Gym is excellent, spacious with a lot of the state of the art equipment. Bar could use one more bartender than on duty but the 10th floor lounge is good. A tad outdated rooms and amenities but overall a good property when in Norfolk.

I genuinely liked the beginning. Shayla was great getting me checked in. It was later that night dealing with the guy at the front desk and the next day meeting the other receptionist that made me feel unwelcomed while deciding to charge me a second incidental fee for the same room despite modifying my reservation. The breakfast was definitely not as described. There wasn't any fruit available to eat...

The Staff was great. The room was clean and very nice. The breakfast was great. Enjoyed my stay and will definitely book here again. I visit at least once a year if not twice. This motel was very close to my family that lives in the area. So, I will book here each time I visit if possible. I felt very safe here. Thank you to all the staff.

Our room was spotless and the entire hotel was very clean!! Super staff and very kind. I did not want to leave and I will be back!!

The staff were friendly & accommodating. The room had an unpleasant wet, moldy, sour smell. Possibly an issue with plumbing as the smell was strongest close to the bathroom.

Another great stay. This is our favorite hotel in the Chesapeake, VA area and the beds are the most comfortable ones we’ve ever experienced.

The property is older and has low toilets. As of OCT 2025 its being renovated so no pool. EVERYTHING else was great. Comfortable room, yummy breakfast with many choices and I found the staff outstanding except for the one cleaning breakfast area. She was having a bad day. :) Everyone else, truly wonderful. I recommend them.

Great fitness room (small but well-equipped with modern equipment and weights). Thank you for replacing the treadmill! Loved the fact that there is always free hot coffee, bananas and apples @ the lobby. I will keep coming back because of the excellent service, value and the nice-to-haves!

The property was fine but under construction so that was apparent. I wish the dog fee policy was more clearly defined, I would have chosen s different location but did not read the fine print and would have appreciated the front desk staff being a bit more kind, less cold.

When we checked in the night before we were told that the pool was available 10 to 10 daily, yet when we came down with our 3 year old the pool was closed. The hotel is being majorly remodeled, yet that wasn't indicated prior to booking it and there was a large amount of noise until 8 pm and the dust was awful. We were very unhappy

Hyatt Place is always a good choice for business travel. The Breakfast in the hotel is good enough.

This hotel was solid. The room was spacious and clean which was great. There was no internet or app availability on the TV and the shower could've been cleaned more thoroughly. Overall, the stay was fine.

Our room was clean. The breakfast was refilled constantly. Everything was fresh. The hotel is in great proximity to shopping and dinning. There is a small shopping area right across the street. This is my second stay at the hotel and will stay again.

Check in was easy, room is perfect for our needs and staff has been exceptionally pleasant and helpful.

The people were great!! the breakfast was excellent, and the cook came out and told us the oatmeal is from her grandmother's recipe! It was a nice surprise, considering we were there to attend a funeral and not feeling so good about it. Pat your people on their backs, they are on top of their games!

We have stayed there a few years ago, same trip to dust family in the area. We actually recognized some of the General Check-in staff. They are WONDERFUL, especially David, and the gal when we checked out. The entire staff was amazing, friendly, polite and ready to help in any way, Great breakfast, wonderful fresh selection. Room was updated just as we remembered. Bathroom very clean, modern. Bed comfy...

We had to be moved to another room because none of the lights by the bed was working and they couldn't be fixed until the next day. They didn’t have another room with a king bed available. The breakfast was OK, we were expecting some healthier options for cereal, bread, etc.

I visit this hotel several times a year and always enjoy my stay. The rooms are comfy and clean,the showers are hot! Will recommend!

I liked the staff, the cleanliness of the hotel and the location. Unfortunately the smoke alarm went off twice during the night. I have had ringing in my ears ever since.The smoke alarms are so loud. I know they are loud for a reason. I will give it another week but I might go to and ENT to see if I can get some relief. Otherwise, I enjoyed my visit. I drove up from N.C. to be close for an early morning...

Under hotel Property undergoing remodeling. Some areas and rooms have been updated but some have not +Elevator, -yoilets not "bolted" to floor -Common areas and courtyard closed -pool? -Limited parking w/ access to building entrance way

It wasn’t the best and we stayed 2nights and they didn’t come to clean the room and we had to go ask for clean towels

They never could get the internet working in our room and there was quite a bit of road noise. Coffee options not good - only over-raosted Starbucks (Yuck)!

Olivia, of the staff was exceptional. The only complaint is the length of time it took to get hot water at the bathroom sink.

We were disappointed with room condition especially at this price point. We took pictures of our concerns and the staff went out of their way to make our stay better. They didn't have an option to move us to another room but did everything in their power to make us satisfied. I give 5 stars to the staff and 3 stars for the hotel. I'm being generous with 3 stars because of the staff. Probably won't...

Nice people at the hotel. Stayed from Sunday through Friday. Only one room clean (half decent), no refill of water or coffee. Should be improved.

It Was OK This hotel is dated. The furniture and bathrooms need work. I could have used a handicapped toilet with my bad knees. One of your pictures showed a refrigerator and two glasses, and champagne. I guess our room didn't cut it..

I would stay again The hallways smelled. But the staff was very accommodating and the breakfast was decent!

Toilet was for children vice adults and the sink area was in a separate room. Came in late and left early; so, can't comment on the free breakfast. Also, would be nice if on their website or third party write-ups they could state where you can park and what are the daily fees. Seems like hotels in general, like Vegas, have additional add-on that can take you by surprise. I would stay again; but,...

The room was always spotless and the staff was like family. Overall, this is the only hotel I stay in while in Virginia, but if they do not get a new mattress, I will not be staying here any longer.

Extremely friendly staff, complimentary weekday snacks and drinks. Fun inviting place to stay. Breakfast was at 630 and ready a little before which was great!!

The staff were some of the friendliest people that we have had at a hotel stay. The options for Happy Hour social was awesome. The breakfast had every kind of option you could ask for along with a friendly and helpful staff.

The tub in room 210 has a very slow drain...the tub needs removing caulk and redone...t h e toilet was running water all the time...grout lines need cleaning...

It’s was very nice and clean for the price!! It took the hot water 30 min to heat up.

One of the housekeeping staff stopped me and my son as we were walking back from the beach, to ensure we saw the dolphins just off the shore AND a submarine...we almost missed it and would have, had he not stopped us. Good people working here, very quick walk to the beach, and convenient to the overall area.

Room was good most of the time, at first they tried to put me in a different room because of a maintenance problem but I was eventually able to get the room I picked. There was a power outage and one of the TVs was not functioning properly.

The room was bright and clean, as was the food buffet. The hostess was so kind and pleasant, she was a joy! But the food was just barely edible.

The bed was comfortable and the location was very convenient for us. We’ve stayed here before, we will stay here again!

All the staff we interacted with was very nice. Despite being the of season and right before a holiday, the breakfast trays were tensed to and the food was warm. Small hiccup when we arrived remedied quickly. Very nice view.

Staff needs to be more enthusiastic. Bed was lumpy. Otherwise it was a quiet stay.

Great stay overall! Staff are amazing! This a safe and clean hotel. Other guests were friendly. Loved the accepted pets. CUSTOMER SERVICE is AMAZING!!! As well as, accommodating. Only complaints are ice machine has not worked entire stay (at least month) and the bed does not have center slats so bed sank in middle. If you sat on edge you would roll to center. 4 complaints made!

Great Service Great stay. Served all of my needs! Clean and no pests! No noise! Welcomed my furbaby! Local to everything! Only bad thing is the ice machine is broken, elevator sounds scary and is jerky and snack machine prices are insane- at peast 4x full store price... But, not one thing or all that would stop me from staying again or recommending!

Pleasant stay, super nice staff. Felt safe. Downfall: the only ice machine not working. Also they are pet friendly, but not noted in app that there is a $25 per day pet fee once you check in-which is excessive.

I thought the service was great, both at check-in and when I needed a document emailed. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff Umfort was helpful and nice. He made sure we had everything we needed in our room and also suggested food places near by.
