Excellent place to stay. The room was immaculate and the service superb. WI definitely stay again.

Clean room very quiet but spacious even better than the pictures. Definitely recommend staying here staff was very helpful as well! 10/10

Nice, upgraded, clean room right beside several activities literally in walking distance as well as can be seen from my Villa. Room fully stocked with the basics of a real home. Will definitely stay again and spread the word.

Clean, quiet, and spacious rooms. Helpful staff. Lots of onsite activities for the kids. Would highly recommend.

Really nice stay off the beaten path but still just 20 minutes to colonial Williamsburg

Our stay was great ! Staff were great and very helpful! Just wish they would change the check in process. Took us 45+ min I believe and we had to check in at one counter. Then go to another desk to get our room key and hear the pitch to get us to go to the 90 min timeshare meeting.

I like this resort & have stayed here often over the past 4 years. I will continue to stay when in Williamsburg & can still navigate stairs.

Nice property, room was clean and quiet, bed was comfortable. No trouble with parking. However, the Wyndham check-in desk personnel would not give me my room key unless I signed up for a timeshare presentation with a $60 non-refundable deposit.

Although the rooms were great- the noise was annoying! It kept us up throughout the night. Whether it was other guests, cars driving by, or random sounds- It was hard to get a good night sleeps especially with a newborn and toddler

Our room was immaculate. It was apparently refurbished and was very nice. We've stayed here for many times over the years and was sad to hear it will be closing the end of this December and is being sold. We hope the new owners keep it as a resort.

I wish we could’ve enjoyed the pool while there. We didn’t pack our swim wear, and when we informed the staff that we would like to go to a local store and purchase swim wear to use their indoor pool facilities, we were informed that being we checked out of our room, we couldn’t come back to the property and use the pool. Felt that being that we had just checked out and were going to come right back...

Very friendly staff and spacious clean room

The staff was extremely helpful at check in as we has an issue with our traveling bank card. Everything was spotless and neighbors considerate. This is my second time saying here and won't be last!

Didn't do the pool. Room was ok.kitchen table , dish washer and fridge was damaged. Didn't get a renovated room as requested. Parking was terrible. Had to park along ways from the room.

It was our first time staying here and we really liked it. Plenty of space for 4 people since it's a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. All the comforts of home with relaxation. We would stay here again.

We stayed for a long weekend at the end of October, so it was off-season. There were so.e things, like the indoor pool, that we didn't take advantage of but overall the resort is beautiful and well maintained. The same for our apartment, it was in great shape with all of the comforts. We'll be back.

Clean room that had everything I needed and more! I will be back for sure! Love the jetted tub in my room!

The condo was extremely clean and everything looked relatively new. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Most importantly, no high pressure sells tactics were employed. A polite “No”’was taken as an answer. Highly recommend the resort but next time we will do a 3 bedroom.

The property itself was great. We received discounted tickets and a vacation package upon arrival but, we had to schedule a 90 min. sales pitch. The gentleman in the front told us that we received our tickets and vacation package before the session so we didn’t have to stay. So we did just that. Wonderful facility nice people the only reason I didn't give it a perfect review is because the high pressure levels pitched by a timeshare is over the top if you can just simply tell them not interested and I want my room key it would be so much more pleasant

Definitely the staff. Also appreciated the anniversary gift box with some nice goodies, and card. Liked the roominess of the room we were in. And didn’t kno til later building 23 has elevators, not sure if all units do. That’s a plus, when we stay again, we’re not restricted to first floor. Thx

Room was clean for the most part. Bathroom need some updating. The heated pool was the highlight of our stay. I would stay here again.

The property and room were both very cleans d well maintained. Also my room was ready as soon as I arrived.

Everything was very updated and room was spacious. Friendly check in staff and clean property.

No free coffee in the lobby, no free breakfast, no one at the desk upon arrival or checking out. Feels like the hotel just wants to save money not serve customers. Beds uncomfortable too.

Room location was very loud! All night heard doors open/close, people talking. Room also had random noises when heat kicked on, rattling and whistling. window sill had cobwebs

The stay here was great! Very close to Busch Gardens which was a huge plus. The only thing that upset me was they say check in is at 4. We arrived at 3 after being on the road for 10 hours. We had reserved 2 rooms and wanted them close to one another. They informed us we had to wait since the rooms were not ready. The room was great. Did not like the shower. Did not have any pressure. Staff was very nice and helpful.

The location of our guest house was great. It was also surprisingly quiet.

Eric with maintenance was fantastic! was prompt in helping us get into the room after the lock failed and was prompt in getting us out of the room after we were locked in as the door knob was not working. Staff was great in crediting us for a couple of drinks and an appetizer. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

This is a close to living the Colonial life as a person can experience. Check-in and out is done at the Williamsburg Inn front desk. First Class, Old-School, Guest Service practiced everywhere. Rooms are spotless clean, while in keeping with the colonial theme. All the basic modern conveniences. I love this place!

We loved our Tavern rooms. It was our first time in one of those and it was so nice.

Williamsburg was a last minute stop on our vacation and we were elated we made the trip. The location for our property was amazing. Walk to everything and the area was really beautiful with much to do. House was fun as it was in the colonial period.

Location was great; but, room is extremely basic and not worth the price. There was mold on bathroom ceiling. Room needs to be cleaned and painted. An extra blanket in the dresser stunk badly when I opened the drawer so I just closed it back up. There's very little attention to detail in room maintenance.

Room was small and mostly clean. Tight quarters for 4 adults. Two small windows where there was space for bigger ones. Loved the location in proximity to Colonial Williamsburg.

We were only staying for 2 nights, so we didn't go to the timeshare presentation. The property is nice and clean with multiple amenities, but we did not use any of them. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful.

I was overwhelmed with the rooms and the ability to walk to Colonial Williamsburg. The price was quite reasonable. The only drawback was no food or drinks other than coffee.

Generally speaking a decent place. The rooms on the second floor seem to be of a higher quality than the rooms on the first level.

Didn’t use pool. Room was old but clean. No coffee station, no clock, some lights didn’t work. The breakfast was absolutely horrible! No one could speak English but the guy at the desk. He was nice & helpful.

Staff was kind but it seemed like there was really only one staff member, and it was clear by the state of the place. The check-in area was clean and smelled great, but the rooms... not so much. While there was nothing particularly egregious, the room had a weird smell when there was no air circulating (AC/heat), the sheets definitely had some stains, and they do not clean rooms every day. I can’t say enough good things about this place! The owners/operators were literally the nicest people I have ever dealt with at a campground! They are in the middle of a remodel but within a few hours you didn’t even notice. They went out of their way to make sure you were happy but the attention to details was what really hooked us! This was our 3rd stay at Anvil Campground. Always enjoyable, this time was special, Anvil scheduled Saturday 6pm as a time for trick or treat for the kids. I've now stayed here two separate times in September 2025 and October 2025 and I plan to return in February 2026. I do not have a trailer or travel home so I rent the Apprentice cabins there are three (3) of them. I absolutely love the location. The Cabins are great, although if you stay in one be prepared to have to leave to go to the bathhouse for the rest rooms. The cabins do not have bathrooms...

Excellent location closer to everything yet far enough away to still be camping! Overall the campground is not very large but the space has been used to its maximum potential and without complaint. Staff could not be nicer.
