Really nice owners who speak great English. The food is very cheap, we ate at the restaurant every day. We stayed three days and booked three different tours: national park half day, Monkey Island day, and finally the Halong Bay tour which ended in Hanoi, saving us the money on an extra bus back for our flight. Double room was clean and safe with AC, and the location is great too. Stay here if you're on Catba!

I didn't like cat ba in general as it smells like gasoline everywhere and this hostel doesn't make ur stay better...the bed r not comfortable at all !!! You can get better places for same price...the man in the reception try to help with needs and try to be nice but i just didn't like it there sorry

Pros: Cheap, great location and friendly English speaking host.
Cons: hard beds, dirty bathroom with leaky pipes.
You get what you pay for!

Pretty nice private room. The wifi worked very well. Room was a bit on the damp side but not bad. Staff was quite friendly and very helpful/honest with suggestions for the area
