When we were there, we had a bonfire on the beach and even joined a meditation session with a teacher who was about to host a yoga retreat there a few days later — such a special experience

The atmosphere here is truly warm and welcoming. On Saturday evening they organized a lovely gathering with a bonfire and an amazing fire show. It felt very cozy and almost like a big family coming together

The staff is incredibly kind and genuinely does their best to make every guest happy. It’s a humble place with so much potential, and I truly hope more people get to discover it

This place is perfect for anyone who wants to relax not only physically, but also mentally — a place where you can truly rest your body and soul

I had such a great time at Woodstock Beach Camp in Cat Ba Island, Vietnam! The vibe is fun and social but still relaxed, the staff are welcoming and helpful, and the beachfront location is beautiful

We stayed with my wife (reservation under her name) Exceptionally located, beach side, amazing view. Great building, very modern and high standard. The spa/massage was good, but everything else was not great at all

It is a chance to live in the absolutely beauty! Service is perfect. Food. Indoor pools, onsens.. But the very best is location! Can recommend room with ocean view, its worth it.

The AC in the bedroom didn’t get below 21 degrees in the night even though I set it to 19. We paid extra for a sea view but the small balcony was cluttered with plants and had no furniture on it

Breakfast was good and B and B would have been a much better option. The hotel itself is okay, and as it was winter it was empty, and we like it quiet so that wasn’t a problem for us

We also asked for a bottle of water, but didn’t get one until my partner went to ask for it. As we were the only two guests in a huge dining room, this didn’t bode well

We also had Adobe issues charging drinks back to our room, while other guests seemed to be able. not sure why, maybe because we refused to leave our passports with reception, and opted to keep them with us

They could do with a proper bar setup by the pool, instead of waiting for a staff member to walk by to take your order, then waiting another 10 minutes for your drink to arrive

Lovely location right at the end of town, helpful and friendly staff who arranged a ferry for us to Haiphong, and an amazing private beach! The room however was quite dated, looks like it came from the seventies, and our toilet didn't work!

W really enjoyed our stay at The May Legend. The room has been recently renovated and was very comfy. We had a Delux sea view room which offered a great view from the balcony

Located right by the pier but slightly uphill, which is not an issue. This place is quiet and has a beautiful view of the beach. The rooms and services are great and I will definitely recommend

But in the morning due to high tide all the beach was covered by the sea and only a small part of the beach was left. If you stay at the hotel you must do the hike in the mountain path in the morning

Nice clean rooms and a functioning bathroom. The minibar is unusually cheap for hotels and it's close to a lot of places to eat. But my room view was quite bad

Even though it was a very humid day, the bedding was clean and damp, and the room was quiet even though stores were open late at night

The roof top pool wasn’t very fancy but had a great view and was everything you could need

It was located in a busy area, so it was convenient to move around, and the room condition was good

I stayed here for one night as part of a package and I wouldn’t have booked this myself. Having said that, the hotel is centrally located with lots of food options around. I had a triple room for myself so it was huge

The location is good and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the bed sheets and towels were not clean on arrival. The room was spacious but the bathroom had a funny smell

Great find for my overnight stay on CatBa Island after a day cruise. Huge room and lovely hot shower. The breakfast was great too and coffee available on tap. Recommended.

The only downside is that the buildings are very close to each other, making it easy to hear noise from outside, which can be disruptive

The room was clean and beautiful, and check-in was a breeze. The owner was lovely and enthusiastic. The location is close to Bai Cat Co beach, making it very convenient for getting around.

I also had lunch and two breakfasts here and the food was amongst the best I have had in Vietnam. I will definitely return and I could not recommend this hotel higher to anyone visiting Cat Ba Island

Wonderful Stay, Lovely rooms, comfy bed & pillows and to top it all a great breakfast! Nam was very helpful booking us boat tour and transport at very short notice.i would definitely stay again

We stayed for 2 nights here in the top floor family room. We had a nice large terrace facing the mountain. The room was spotlessly clean, the mattress was good and there was enough lighting all around

Plenty of free bottled water was provided. The bathroom was huge with both a shower and bathtub. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with pancake and pho and fresh fruits

I travel quite a bit, and this is the first hotel I've stayed in that provides salt for brushing teeth – quite a unique touch! The breakfast is also good for the price

Also the quality of toothbrush and tooth paste I personally did not like. All the basic things like towels, water, water heater, AC, shampoo and everything was provided

Nam is Great! Speak Fluent English! and his kindness is above a beyond, he assist us with everything we need during our time in Vietnam, from hotel accomadation, Transportation, Tour Experiences!

A very good stay and great value. They were very helpful and organised us to hire a bike and to have our clothes cleaned. Walking distance from lots of places to eat and drink.

The guy at the front desk was very nice. Motorbike rental was 100k. There were many places to eat nearby, but breakfast was no longer available recently.

Good hotel for the price. Average breakfast but hey it's cheap so you have to expect it! Be careful, there is no gym (contrary to what is written).

Ming helped us with a tour of Lan Ha bay, and also helped us organise transport back. He also suggested a good restaurant to eat at. Our room was on the 7th floor, but the hotel had a lift and also had decent WiFi

This place is amazing, the room on the bungalow it's so cute and clean, the trekking and the monkey beach island it's perfect they have a private beach and u can see the sunset on a perfect place we love it with my partner

Best place for holidays the water is fresh and without any pollution and the foods are really amazing and unbelievable If you even once try the 1000th time is inevitable!! Trees are always green and the breeze you feel on your skin is unique in the entire world!!

Beach, nice pool, nice breakfast. Negative : people from all over the area come to this beach so it's not only for the hotel residents (they pay, but they are a lot). You can definitely feel the age of this hotel

Dated but good maintained resort. The food was good as well. The beach in front of the hotel is full of locals. It's noisy and inconvenient.

Any time outside of that and there's a good chance of having the beach almost to yourself, especially outside of summertime and peak season

The location is probably the best part here, you can easily walk to Cot Co 1,2,3 beaches, pubs are near, floating restaurants and other restaurants are nearby too and the hotel itself has a restaurant with very good seafood and other tasty dishes

Solid hotel licated away from the construction that is going on in town Beds are slightly hard as in most places in Asia Jay the manager was very friendly and helpful who speaks good english and helped us book a boat trip and scooter Shower pressure is a bit dodgy at times and they do not like you hanging any wet attire in or out on the balcony which I belueve is a bit strange You need to hang bathers...

Clean room and such a beautiful family owned hotel. Great location just up the hill but close to amazing food and Main Street. Also rented a motorbike from them. I would def recommend especially for the price

We had a spacious room for the four of us which was generally clean. Close to the town center we could easily reach all kinds of restaurants. We had lovely pancakes fruit and tea for breakfast

The staff was super lovely and helpful, when one friend tripped down the stairs we were even helped and driven to our bus pick up point. So we had a really lovely stay

The view of the adjacent lush mountain was such a nice surprise, waking up to the sounds birds and wildlife set the mood for the day and kept us present in the moment
