DALAT GALAXY HOSTEL in Dalat

The lobby is modern and classy as in most Hotels only to find a very drab room upstairs. Our room had a window opening into a shaft which allowed daylight down the middle of the building but also echoed the noise from everyone else's room so couldn't open it.
Price was good and fairly comfortable for a budget place to stay in Dalat.

I booked 3 nights on Traveloka with a promo code for a single room with one bed.

I would not complain much about a budget hotel with a price like this. I highly appreciate Trang's and other receptionists' attitude and services. Our hot shower did not work and I asked for assistance. They cleaned our room everyday. The room had hair dryer and warm shower.

The short-comings lie within the construction of the hotel: the engine room (where our no-view window leads to) was damp and had smells. The bathroom was clean but sometimes there were bad smells coming from the sewage.
The rooms all in all are not well soundproof as you could hear lots of talking and footsteps and elevator bells at night.

I really expect the hotel to improve its facilities (including lighting) and I am sure more tourists like me will stop and rest here.

I would still come back but pick a big room with windows rather than this one.

Place: near Dalat Market, very convenient

Room: Small but clean. The only problem I have is the toilet doesnt have a proper ventilation. So smells will stay.

Service: Enough for the money you pay

Notice: I booked them on Traveloka. And they claim to have 24/7 open and elevator. Which are false. I come back at the hotel at 11PM and its closed. Have to knock the door. Also there is no lift, luckily my room is on the 2nd floor only

Price: very cheap, around $8 a day
