California Hotel Saigon in Ho Chi Minh

This is definitely not a 4-star hotel. The room I booked was a suite. The rooms are very overpriced, considering the quality and compared to other, even classier hotels. The location is okay, but not that great for the price. The toilet in my bathroom flushes very little and seemingly nonexistent, apparently to save water. The floor is very slick and easy to slip on. The room itself is old, some of the light switches are broken and the room could really use some help in general. The rooftop pool appears a bit photoshopped and definitely elongated in the pictures they use to advertise. The pool in reality is tiny, a joke really, its nice for little kids to swim in, but definitely not an adult, unless you literally just want to take a dip - only a dip. Push off from one wall and you're already at the other end. And before I forget, there was a used condom splattered on the inner ledge of the pool.... right next to where 2 small kids took in mouthfuls of water. Definitely a disgusting sanitation issue. I'm definitely not coming back.

One of the most disappointing experiences that I have ever had. The toilet was filthy with a mysterious dark grime on it, and simply did not flush, the lever seemed broken. I lost my apple pen in my room, under rather suspicious circumstances. The front stairs are ridiculously steep with no safety rails whatsoever. They told me that this was a newly renovated hotel, but that appeared to be a blatant lie as the bathroom and floor was dirty, tiles cracked and the wallpaper peeling. I spotted various bugs crawling around, cockroaches and others that I cannot name. The bathtub was absolutely filthy with a layer of grime formed. The shampoo is refilled rather than renewed, and the floor is so slick that my mother and I both fell, she ended up hurting her hip and was in much pain the next day. Very dangerous in the bathroom with nothing to hold on to and not texture on the floor for safe footing. The hotel is very cheap in their services and dirty. They advertise the pool greatly, but it's quite a joke, absolutely tiny. Other hotels are a lot better with a better price. Never coming back.

Stayed here in a suite. This should be 2-3 stars, max , NOT a 4stars hotel: the pool is smaller than my backyard pool. You absolutely cannot swim just made for soaking.The bar area is very small. They're both rooftop. The bathroom tub is old, tiles are uneven and cracked. The wall paper is old with a dirty look, and it's peeled. There were bugs in the room, there were some cockroaches in the bathrobes. Bathroom floors are slippery and have no handrails to hold . You could injure yourself easily, crack your bone. The front stairs are steep, also with no handrails, imagine if it rains and you walk on those steps, you could easily end up in the hospital.
