Hotel Solana

For a three star hotel, this was OK. I went on a school trip in February to this resort,and this ace was pretty grim. You enter to the front desk where the staff are, and they seemed very nice, untill the point where you realise that they are incompetent. The rep we had didn't know what she was doing, so we arrived late, hadn't eaten for 10-12 hours, and we were just repeated with the same 'i know your hungry and tired but just hang on'. We get to the room on the first day and think they are ok (this would change in less than 24 hours. We had a room inspection, to find out that other rooms in the hotel didn't have working toilets. I'm just grateful that that wasn't us. We come back to the room on the second day and one of the guys that we shared with had trashed all the beds. At first a was quite mad at him, but now I'm happy that he did it has we found out what we were actually sleeping on. The guy that trashed the room had one leg bent. This then snapped later on and he slept on the floor. The kid by the window (that didn't open because it broke) had a really nice mattress and bed, but the kid next to trash mgeee had it worst, there were many stains on his bed and even cigarette burns on the mattress. Then there was the bunk. There is no ladder to get on the top, so you climb on the bottom bed. Where the mesh had snapped that held the top bunk in place, there was paper clips as a fix. I can't even say that the room was safe! The lock on the door didn't work. The food and entertainment was petty. The food was that bad a kid actually threw up on the third day (seriously, go into the back left corner of the restaurant there is a sick stain (probably because they haven't cleaned it yet). The entertainment consisted of three things, the first being a pool table which actually functioned, the second was a football table that was broke, and the last was an air hockey table that had no puck. Do not stay here unless you are an absolute cheapskate or want to die.

Price is the one benefit of this place. Bad's are terrible, smell in room, Wi-Fi doesn't work in rooms on 5th floor. Mold on the wall, good in the bath doesn't work.
