Buenos Aires, Costa Rica 4137/39 (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
While at first as an American fresh off an Antarctica cruise, I was taken back by the lack of amenities like TV sets. But the hotel and its charm grew on me. It's quiet & peaceful. And the top deck terrace was a very pleasant surprise. Relaxing chairs & a moderately good view of the Polermo area were excellent. IF you're not too fussy, you'll enjoy your stay. Reminds me of places I would have loved...
We stayed at this Hotel a few times during our trip through South America. And we always had a great time! It is a very charming hotel with a lot of history. The staff is super friendly and always there to help. Can’t recommend this hotel more.
Fantastic experience after 4 nights spent in the Costa Rica Hotel, calm neighbourhood, the staff is really kind and helpful. I really recommend this place to start visiting Buenos Aires. Thank you
very nice location and staff were all friendly however the room was fairly small and water was only warm not hot but would visit again
We stayed five nights during our recent trip to Buenos Aires here. The hotel is in a great, relatively quiet neighborhood with restaurants open until 12 in the morning. It's a cute B&B with a decor reflecting the owner's collection over the years. The staff is very friendly and service oriented. For example, we didn't have Argentinian money to pay for the external laundry, so they paid it and included...
Came with a big group of blacksmiths. We were loud and annoying I suspect. The staff were kind and the owners adorable.

You can clearly see that the bathroom is getting on in years. Otherwise, it's great.
I had a wonderful two nights in this hotel. The service was impeccable, the staff so very kind, the room was comfortable and everything one would expect from this kind of a hotel experience. It was very nice touch, too, to have a welcome note and chocolates in my room. The views from the room were beautiful and the breakfast bar was fantastic. I would definitely love to stay here again.
Clean and very comfortable bedding
Excelent customer service Need eliminate bad odor from Sewer lines
Spacious, comfortable and clean room. Hotel close to the bus that allows you to go directly to Jorge-Newbery airport.
Attentive workers, very clean living quarters and situated in a very nice neighborhood. Would certainly recommend. In about a year or so when this hotel is upgraded, this will be a MUST stay when in Buenos Aires. Keep making improvements =)

Be careful, do not hand your credit card to pay this hotel; I did it and the result in the next weeks is that I started to see unkown payments on my card. When that hotel gets a real card machine then I would recommend it for its location,
I enjoyed the hotel A&B. I liked that when arriving at the hotel, the hotel had clear signs that is was easy to identify. The main doors were locked for security purposes. The hotel room was clean and simple, just what was needed. The hotel had several beautiful rooftoop balconies/courtyards with flowers and cool street views.
Bue 2025 Good location, renovated, very clean, very simple breakfast, paid separately, I didn't use it.
Excellent accommodation! The hotel is, without a doubt, an excellent option for staying in Buenos Aires. It is well located, very close to Corrientes Avenue, where the main shopping area is. It takes about 8 minutes to walk to the Obelisk. It takes 5 minutes to walk to a subway station that connects the entire city. Breakfast is paid separately, but this seems to be the norm for almost all hotels in...
It has a good location and is comfortable, however the facilities look somewhat old.
Good place A couple of nights midweek in January 2024. Friday night the price was going up so i decided not to stay. Great place except for the location... it seems a little out of the way.

A modern and clean hotel, very close to the main attractions of Buenos Aires downtown. A supermarket is nearby. Hot water and good breakfast
Great location! The room and bed were clean! The soap dispensers in the shower weren't working, though. Our window faced an air shaft, which wasn't ideal. There was also some confusion with the tourist tax; some people in our group were charged $1.50, others weren't. And breakfast was a bit of a mess!
Hotel with great value for money. The room was very clean, spacious, and had a nice view of Puerto Madero, the area we liked the most and were able to reach on foot from the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were very attentive. I would stay there again.
Nice hotel, lots of rooms and nice pool. Restaurant is ok not very good
Breakfast was great, the location was excellent, and the service was also top-notch. I highly recommend it. The only minor issue was a problem with the dryer in my room.
Good hotel with the great central location. A little bit threadbare. Too narrow sink in the bathroom, and a bit loudy because of generators outside the window. As i realised it's a common problem of small hotels in the city centre

Very friendly staff and helpful. Breakfast ends at 10:30 which is nice but check out is at 10:00. Breakfast was really good and good options. The location is good is near a bus stop, metro, or a ferry to go to Uruguay all with a 10 min max walking distance. In certain rooms the AC is controlled by the front desk and only turned on at certain times. We moved to a room that we were able to control it...
The room was the size of a walk in closet however the location is perfect, the staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is reasonable. Great coffee. Eggs are extra! Have zero expectations for the rooms and you'll be set.
Functional hotel close to bus station and port. Shopping area also in walking distance. Staff helpful and friendly. Was able to leave luggage until our return.

Lovely old stately home converted into a modern boutique hotel. Frédérique, the owner can be seen frequently tending to details and happy to help with recommendations and anything you may need .Every member of staff went above and beyond. Charming and unique property. Great location.
The friendliness of the owner and staff were a stand out at this lovely boutique hotel. In addition the breakfast had so many yummy things, from homemade yogurt and granola to scrambled eggs or Argentine the favorite pan dulce. The small pool on the top terrace was lovely for cooling off. The king bed was super comfortable. I would highly recommend this adorable hotel with it’s excellent location.
The room was really charming and very clean! I found out that the owner is French, so it makes sense that the design/decor is beautiful! The breakfast is good, and the hotel is very convenient for walking around Palermo (safe neighborhood!) The staff (Cecile) was always there to buzz me in or assist me. I will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends/family. Merci beaucoup!
The hotel, overall, was very impressive. It was clean and well staffed. They offered a very nice breakfast. The location was perfect and close to Palermo area. The rooftop was very inviting, however, the pool that’s advertised is more like a Jacuzzi. But, nonetheless, perfect with a great view. We had a junior suite and ordered twin beds. The room was quiet. The only problems I had with the room was...
Staff was very courteous and helpful, room was clean and spacious, breakfast very adequate, no complaints.

Smaller, nice clean hotel located on a quiet side street. Large rooms, quiet and clean. Breakfast buffet is ok. Unfortunately no coffee machine for espresso or cappuccino. USB charging ports will be very useful, or at least international electric outlets in the bathroom. WIFI is very slow, not only in my room, but also in the lobby. Absolutely no channels in English, no news network.
The basic question, would you like go back to this hotel? Yes i would. Large clean rooms, NO English news channels or any channels besides Spanish.
The room was clean and beautifully decorated. The bathroom had good hot water and provided toiletries. The breakfast was plentiful and reasonably priced. The front desk service was prompt and professional. The location is within walking distance of the city center. Highly recommended.
Great hotel We were very pleased with the location, service, breakfast and cleanliness. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Buenos Aires.
Great stay at the hotel. Great part of the city. Very comfortable hotel and very friendly and helpful staff.
You get what you pay for If you’re looking for a basic room that’s clean but with very little amenities or service and this is your place, the price was reasonable. I don’t expect much..

Everything was great, except they should tell customers, in advance about city charge.
Excellent service and hospitality, world class breakfast and clean and comfy rooms. Perfect for reaching Recoleta and city centre.
First time in BA and I was apprehensive when I booked this hotel, but the rooms (though a bit dated) are very clean. The breakfast is excellent. Location is unbeatable, and I felt very safe. Most of all, the staff were so nice and helpful. The breakfast lady kindly filled our water bottles without us even asking. The front desk staff answered all our questions, extended our check out time by 3 hours...
The hotel makes a great first impression - very nice and promising at the entrance. However, the room itself could definitely use some renovation, especially the bathroom, which feels a bit outdated. One small tip for future guests: make sure to put the “do not disturb” sign on the door. Otherwise, the cleaning staff will knock several times asking if they can clean - which is generally good service...

Excellent staff... Very helpful. Stored our bags for us for 3 days before we arrived at their hotel, while we took an alternate excursion. It was no problem, and they were very accommodating.
nice local hotel of 16 rooms. two block walk to the famous Sunday market at San Elmo. Very nice breakfast. Very, very reasonably priced. Fifteen minute walk to Porto Maduro. Short taxi ride to Newberry airport and CoLonia Express ferry to Uruguay. Great staff and very accomodating.
We wanted to stay in San Telmo, and the hotel is in a great location for that. We had a room facing the inner courtyard, so no street noise. The small courtyard with a pool is like an oasis. Breakfast was okay. The room size was also okay. The bathroom needs to be renovated at some point. But for the price, it's absolutely fine. Very friendly staff with perfectly adequate English skills. Ribera Sur Hotel is conveniently located in the San Telmo section of Buenos Aires, and walking distance to the famous San Telmo market. Rooms are spare but clean. WiFi is excellent. The location is close to Puerto Madero, which is convenient. My room was to the patio, so it was very quiet. The bed was large and comfortable. If I could give more stars, I would, because everything was perfect. We had the most delicious breakfast in Argentina, because it's freshly made in the cafeteria. The hotel staff was very friendly, making sure that everything is ok. The room was clean and nice.

This hotel is in a great location close to attractions, transport, shops etc. Staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is fine. One odd feature is, the Air Conditioning is operated from the front desk which means you have to ask for it to be turned on/off. Although I was satisfied overall, I do think it was a little expensive.
I would give 3 stars for the hotel but because the stuff was so friendly i give 4 stars. The breakfast is ridiculous just bread butter with 2 different jams and 2 facturitas per person. Cute boutique hotel with  friendly staff. Rooms small but part of the charm as it’s an original house remodeled into a hotel - so only stairs but staff helped a lot with bags. Breakfast included amd very good, also located in a bustling street with eateries and supermarket and easy transport to AEP airport. Recommended! especially if arriving at AEP.
Great hotel. We checked in late. The staff was very accommodating. Unfortunately, there is not elevator. That might be an issue for some. Otherwise, a lovely hotel in a nice part of Buenos Aires that is close to Aeropuerto Jorge Newberry.
This is a small boutique hotel in Palermo. It was a fine stay for a few nights and the staff was very kind. I cannot sing enough praises about Thibaud and his wife, Gabriela, as well as Thami. While this place is a boutique stay, it is extremely comfortable and hospitable. This is my second time here, and my go to spot now when I want a weekend in Buenos Aires. I have referred friends and family who have all been delighted - for its location in Palermo restaurant district, exceptional breakfast, tranquility oasis within a busy city. I felt secure, good for female travellers as well. Staff accommodating. Good value.
Excellent location for bars and restaurants within walking distance. Comfy bed. Quality air conditioning. Attentive staff. Excellent breakfast and important to me, the atmosphere at breakfast is so peaceful. The comfy, spacious booths, the music choice and the quality of the sound helped set the tone for a relaxing way to starting my day.
Not used to using a buzzer to be allowed into Hotel. No gym was also a downer. Morning breakfast was good and reception was very helpful.

Stayed in early Nov 2023. Entry to the building is entirely through QR code which is a bit confusing for people just off a long-haul flight, and then each room has a numbered code. This hotel was "fine" all around. The room was small, but functional. The bathroom had cracked tiles and desperately needed a caulking, but got the job done. All of the staff were pleasant and the location was great. It's not luxury, but works well for a few days in BA.
