Buenos Aires, San Martín 1225 1275 (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
I stayed at two hotels in Buenos Aires this time, and this Sheraton didn't meet my expectations. It was worse than the Hilton in the same category; the facilities were outdated, the bathroom door in my room was warped and difficult to close, the breakfast selection was limited, and the front desk staff weren't very welcoming. However, the location was quite good.
The room facilities were rather old, a common problem with hotels throughout the Obelisk area of Buenos Aires.
My wife and I had a medical emergency and the entire front desk on Friday January 23rd during the afternoon, were extremely helpful! We had to book emergency flights home. They were extremely accommodating and showed their loyalty to Marriott Bonvoy members!! Great job.
A lovely hotel with nice rooms. I was a bit put off by the reviews on Google that it was too dated, but that wasn't so bad. The rooms aren't the newest, but ours was clean, as was the bathroom.
Excellent service standards. Yanina, the quality manager, went above and beyond in helping us when we met with with a mishap in Buenos Aires. The service staff at the lounge, in particular Diego, was warm and welcoming. Special mention to Daniel and Alexis for their attention to detail and professional service. This is truly safe haven for visitors to the city.
A very nice Sheraton property. The staff here are very attentive and professional. When I was trying to make my way around the giant property, a staff person guided me on my way(something very simple but speaks volumes). Kudos to Francesca at check-in was very courteous.
I had the opportunity to stay on a higher floor and it looks like they are putting together a Sheraton lounge here. That would...

The hotel's location is great, near the Presidential Palace, and it offers good value for money, with a charming historical feel. However, the facilities are a bit old, and the breakfast leaves much to be desired.
This is a 5* Intercontinental Hotel and lives up to the standards I expect from them. The public spaces have the wow-factor suitable for a prestigious hotel. I rated the rooms 4* only because I think that there is insufficient wardrobe space, specially for what they consider a superior room. Everything else about the room and housekeeping is exactly what I expect from Intercontinental. Staff: here...
Decent rooms, lovely staff but not a great location. I stayed 3 nights and got great service but always asked if where I was walking to was safe. I was traveling alone. They were helpful in telling me where not to go.
is an amazing hotel with a beautiful atmosphere. The service is outstanding—staff are attentive, friendly, and very professional. The common areas are elegant and create a really pleasant, classic ambiance.
The only downside is that the rooms feel a bit outdated and could use some modernization. However, they are still comfortable and clean, and the excellent service more than makes up for it.
Overall...
Great stay, close to all the attractions. Clean and spacious rooms. Good breakfast
Well, Intercontinental Hotels are usually very good, and this one is no less than that.
📍The location of the hotel is good for visiting the city, close to the new area where all the restaurants and shops are, on the other side you can easily access the main avenue from where you reach every part of the city center in about 20-30 min.
🏢 The rooms are big, with a shower and a bath tub, double or single...

This hotel should never receive 5 stars, 3 stars at best.
Quality of the rooms and common areas are horrible, needs renovation.
Bathroom had horrible smell of moisture and fungus, disgusting.
Very very expensive for the quality we get.
Only good thing is the location.
I was in Buenos Aires for an event, but I didn't expect the hotel to be so old. It's next to Plaza de Mayo, so the location is okay, and the croissants for breakfast were pretty good—a typical Argentine specialty. The complimentary bottled water in the rooms was unreliable; sometimes there was none, sometimes not. I went to the front desk to ask for some for a colleague in the evening, but the young...
The only satisfactory aspect was the good location. I stayed for eight days, and the breakfast remained unchanged, exactly the same, with only slight variations in the desserts. They wouldn't proactively provide water in the room unless you pointed it out. The most unsatisfactory thing was that they secretly deducted money from my credit card after check-out without any notification! I've been trying...
I didn't intend to bring any breakfast when I left in the morning, and although the receptionist agreed, the restaurant didn't receive any instructions, indicating a problem with internal communication.
Very good hospitality, near to attraction places especiall san telmo market
Very bad experience.
I stayed at this hotel before and had a wonderful experience. However, this time was completely different. I booked a standard room (last time I was in kind of a suite - but as it was big this time I chose standard room), which looked nice on the website. But when I arrived, the room was nothing like the photos. Not inviting at all. The wall where I sleep were dirty, and although...

Top-tier hotel in Buenos Aires, with an excellent location that's perfect for visiting several attractions. The staff can be a bit distant in their responses, but everything else is quite good, and the cleanliness is impressive.
I recently stayed at the Buenos Aires Marriott and had the opportunity to experience both the breakfast and the spa facilities. The breakfast was enjoyable and offered a sufficient variety of options, though expanding the selection would make it even better. I used the sauna in the spa, which was quite good, and adding a steam room could further enhance the overall experience. The pool is beautifully...
The bathroom is very small, the shower head is old and not easy to use, the experience is very poor
Good location. Clean rooms. Mattress a bit hard but overall nice.
It is in a busy area of Buenos Aires.
Facility is nice but a little old. Location is very Convenient, close to most attractions and shopping. The 3-star is for service. Not very friendly staff. One friend of us got robbed near the hotel. The staff told him to contact police himself. Another incident occurred when my wife tried to find the restroom on the top pool area. She was told none by the attendant but we found later they are one...

Extremely unfriendly front desk. Very efficient and helpful bellman. Our $350+ room overlooked a building, no view. TV did not work, hotel phone did not work, no bathrobes, no milk/powder for coffee.
Stayed it for one night as part of the travel package of an Antarctica cruise. Quite efficient, got a corner room - very large. Clean and quite modern.. maybe recently refurbished? No issue at all during the short stay. Nice swimming pool too - very quiet when I was there :)
Breakfast was not included per staff.
Is a very centralized location with easy access to Palermo, Puerto Madero, and la Recoleta!
Very prompt in repairing safe. Did their best to allow early check in.
Room has been redecorated and is less cozy.
More business like.
No robes, no slippers and no bar in the room.
Bed pillows were hard.

Not so friendly staff
toilet flush kept on flushing I had to call for fix 5x
Breakfast is average, very expensive for that kind of food
I was asleep until 3 AM when the hotel alarm suddenly went off for over a minute, scaring everyone. The hotel front desk offered no explanation. We contacted them through Ctrip and they said there was no alarm. Speechless. The facilities are quite old; the gym is tiny, and the swimming pool and public bath are about the same size. For this price, it's really ridiculous. Breakfast was also very simple...
It was just okay. It's an old place that's been renovated. Everything was acceptable, but not great.
I spent a good amount of money (based on other hotels at this location) for three rooms to stay here. On of my rooms was not ready at the check-in time for hours after, yet I had such a hard time to get a couple of hours extended at checkout for just one room while we waited for our flight. Not to mention, there was a giant crack in the window in one of my rooms; and when my son got ill after eating...
Poor reception upon arrival and no effort to accommodate early check in despite request. Only 2 bottles water available for 10 nights stay. No slippers available. Air-conditioning too cold and unable
to control. No assistance during checkout for luggage. Definitely better choices for the price as I booked other hotels for my delegates.
Clean and tidy, not bad! I came here for a business trip. The location is very convenient; taxis can park right at the door. However, be careful if you're there on a Friday night, as there are several small bars downstairs, and it can be a bit noisy!

The room was spacious and bright, suitable for both vacation and work. The mattress was very comfortable, and the location was excellent, situated in the city center. The room was very quiet, the breakfast was very plentiful, and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend it.
Room was fine, very good room cleaning staff.
Lobby had strong odor of "air freshener" smelled like chemical, not natural. Same as my stay last year. I would prefer no air freshener.
Breakfast buffet was busy at 9 am, I was offered to go to adjacent hotel's "same food"- it was not the same; much inferior options.
Gym was under renovation, so had to go to adjacent hotel's gym.
Superb location and hotel views! Checked in on China Eastern's longest route, and there's a fantastic beef restaurant next door.
Booking the hotel on Ctrip was over 1000 RMB cheaper than the official website! Seriously, don't let frequent flyer bookings hold you back! 🤣 Incredibly high value for money!!!
Overall great experience, the staff was great and helpful, the rooms were clean and the breakfast buffet was also quite good. It's well located as well, would definitely recommend.

We loved this place! Great location, an upgrade to 11th floor suite, a rooftop bar, a lobby bar, friendly and informed front desk staff, competent wait staff, all accommodating my lack of Spanish. Beautiful view of the Cerritos avenue from room and rooftop. Included breakfast was great and other food at restaurants looked good.
Only negative callouts is that shower gets surges of very hot water randomly...
If you're looking for a Central City location this is definitely a great spot. Close to everything in Historic downtown. Rooms were nice and rooftop pool was excellent.

The rooms are tired and in need of renovation. However, the mattress was comfortable and the linens were excellent. It was fairly quiet.
The breakfast wasn't great, but it was perfectly acceptable.
Location is great, staff is great, shower is amazing. There is no complimentary water in the room. They said I can drink tap water, us safe. The breakfast options are very limited. Cheese, ham, bread, fruits , no green vegetables, no boiled egg, no omelet station , its what I use to have.
Really appreciate the female receptionist with glasses who was working 9am 12/25! After 27 hours flying and arriving Christmas morning, she let us check in early. We were able to get a great nap and cleaned up before meeting our family for a wonderful Christmas luncheon. Thank you for helping us!
A very tired but central hotel, making a living from its name. Needs a refurb, gym is poor with no rowing machine or sanitising wipes, though they do have attached toilets and showers.
The beds are comfortable and food/drink prices reasonable. The showers are crazy good! Fantastic period features desperately need refurbishment, that would really lift this building.
