Retro Hostel in Yerevan

There were insects in the room. They were mosquitoes, but they kept us awake every night until the early hours. By the time you fall asleep, you're completely exhausted, after they've had their fill. The room is small and stuffy, the bedding is hot and not breathable—you open the window wide and the mosquitoes swoop in; you throw back the blanket, completely wet from the stuffiness, and they start devouring you. Apparently, they still haven't invented window screens and fumigators in Armenia. The room has a useless chest of drawers that takes up a ton of space, even though it doubles as a shelf because there's no point in putting things in drawers. There are no large teacups in the kitchen, only coffee cups of various sizes, but they're all small. There's not even tea for guests. The washing machine is a paid service, 2000 AMD (~$5). The furniture and appliances are in good condition/new, so it's not particularly noticeable that they only clean the floors. The restroom has a cloth hand towel, and it wasn't changed during the five days of the stay, even though 7-9 guests passed through it. You must bring your own slippers; outdoor shoes are the norm. If it weren't for the insects, this would be a mediocre hostel with mediocre hygiene (it's more expensive than what it offers, but you know where you're going). However, a problem with nocturnal insects in 2022 is unacceptable.
