The room was clean and tidy, the kitchen was spacious and convenient for use and personal work, and the service was good. I suggest that the main entrance facing the street should have more prominent signage. On the 29th, I was at the entrance of a unit next door, and I knocked for a long time, waiting in the cold wind. I suspect other guests have had the same experience.

I booked a room at Army Hostel when I realized it would be great to lie down and rest on a proper bed between flights.

Pros: The location is fantastic! It's close to the Cascade and Republic Square. I also noticed a supermarket and plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby.

The bed was quite comfortable, the outlets worked, and the shower was clean. For the price, everything was decent. Keep in mind that the hostel is on the 5th floor, and you'll need to use the stairs.

The men at the reception were welcoming; they calmly and kindly showed me everything and explained it all.

It's a great place to stay for a while. Great location, close to France Square, just jump into the airport bus and the bus will end up across the hostel. Try to find a glass door, and you're there already. But please be mind that there isn't any lift to the hostel, but if you need any help the reception is ready to assist you :)

The location is excellent. The room is small, but has everything you need. There's a shared kitchen where you can cook or reheat food. The only drawback is the very high fifth floor with no elevator.

Location is great, we walk around the city, private room is clean, shared bathrooms, but hostel it's small so not many people, has a kitchen if you need, but there's a lot of local and cheap food around that probably you won't use it

I booked this hostel instead of the luggage storage at the airport, hoping that it will also provide some comfort in the city. Location is perfect, except for the fifth floor without elevator. However, that is OK for younger people. Hosts are very friendly.

Good location close to the city centre BUT the top (fifth?) floor with endless stairs. I almost collapsed while climbing the stairs with a heavy suitcase. NO LIFT! The room was clean, same as on their pictures, but shared facilities were basic and not very comfortable. People seemed also kinda weird. I wasn't alone so that was okayish. But I wouldn't recommend it for a single female traveller.

Good location.. nice amenities.. kept clean..
The issue I faced was this.. the next bunk bed upper bed guy complained about packing my bags at 10 am in the morning.. that I am disturbing his sleep..
Mandatory house rules should include people in a Dormitory style MUST NOT COMPLAIN normal activities during normal daytime hours. If one wants to sleep at 10 am in the morning and no one should do anything while that guy is sleeping he should either go to an individual room hotel or put earplugs and sleep all day.. no one would ever cate
