Toscana Village Resort in Airlie Beach

Overall, the apartment is very nice.
It's accessed via a steep climb and stairs.
The views from the top of the well are lovely.
The Wi-Fi doesn't work inside the apartment! We used all our own mobile data 😢
It's comfortable for 4 people.
The beds were fine.
The bathrooms were comfortable.

Our apartment 24 had the most amazing views.

Apartment itself was wonderful, so spacious and very tastefully decorated.

Complimentary items were great.

Having a washing machine and dryer was handy.

As advertised the location is on a steep hill, with further hills within the resort. Taxi prices did vary.

I stayed here for 2 nights with my husband and 4 kids. The receptionist was VERY friendly and sweet. (I'm sad I didn't get her name) She upgraded us to the 3-bedroom penthouse, which was a lovely surprise. She also brought down a buggy to help us with our bags since the hill is steep. LOCATION--You can walk to the main street in less than 5 minutes, but, yes, you are on a high hill. Returning to the hotel is a little workout...but we liked that it helped us walk off some of our meals and treats. It is steep, but the views are totally worth it. Absolutely beautiful. And as you walk up the Toscana driveway, there are benches along the path, so you can always take a break and take in the views as you walk back to your hotel room. ROOM--The 3-bedroom penthouse is really spacious. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Air conditioning in all rooms and common spaces. The kitchen is updated and we enjoyed having a little espresso machine as well. The bathrooms could be updated, but everything worked and was in order. The beds were comfortable, but I didn't love carpets in there. But that's a personal preference thing. The balcony view was amazing and it was a huge space. Definitely be mindful that you are facing the main street, so if there are parties going on you will hear them. We were there during Schoolies Week so the music was loud, but never went past 1030pm so it didn't bother us too much. On our other side was the pool, so we could also hear people being loud on that side, but that was usually before dinnertime. VALUE--As a family of 6, I am always looking for a good value alongside great reviews. I did a lot of research to book Toscana and I'm glad we stayed here. If we ever visited Airlie Beach again, I would book here again!

It may only be a 200 metre walk from the resort front gate to the shops and then on to the waterfront. But that's a 24% grade. It's steep. And when you climb back up that hill and reach the resort, you keep climbing, up steps or steep driveways. There should be a clear warning "potentially unsuitable for seniors or those with mobility challenges". It was impossible for reasonably strong and mobile 80 year old me. The apartment itself was delightful. Tuscan in feel with ceramic floor tiles, space and sliding glass doors onto a spacious balcony overlooking the bay. Everything was clean and felt fresh. A few small things would help. Firstly, the split systems in the bedrooms are hard wired and either on or off. The temperature was set and leaving them on all night made the bedrooms just too cold. It would be nice to have some control. Secondly, I walked straight into the glass sliding door. They are very clean and lack any transfers so it's not obvious when they are closed. I'm surprised, because in Victoria such transfers are mandatory in buildings. Thirdly the cutlery is a mismatched set of cheap quality. They don't match the category of the resort. The same could be said about the toaster - needs an update. Finally, the rolling of bins, movement of work buggies and use of leaf blowers could surely be left until after 9am. Jo, the manager, was very helpful when I left a jacket hanging in the wardrobe. She mailed it back to me. Thank you. We enjoyed a restful four nights, but for seniors it really is very difficult. Great view, fun pools, comfortable beds and well cleaned. We could have done with a few more amenities including dish soap and bin liners, but staff were very accommodating. Aircons worked but were a bit fiddly. We had a lovely stay and would definitely go back!!

Spacious.Clean. Good aircon. Very steep climb of 200 metres from the access road.
