at Boathaven Bay Holiday Apartments in Airlie Beach

Very over priced for what it is. Was very disappointed for the price we paid. It's advertised as 4 star, and Coral Sea resort is rated 4 star, but there's just no comparison.
I have no idea how motels get their star ratings but Boat Haven is certainly not 4 star. It's run down, and the spa on the balcony is extremely dangerous. The step getting in and out of the spa is a huge step which is slippery, doesn't line up properly with the glass door and there's nothing to hold onto getting up and down that one high step or getting in and out of the spa. It's an accident waiting to happen. And to top it off the glass door/gate of the spa opens up to the glass sliding door of apartment. It can easily smash while trying to navigate climbing up or down the huge step with nothing to hold onto. The spa also has no privicy and the pool, carpark and road below can see you. We would never stay here again nor recommend to anyone.
