Cairns City Palms in Cairns

Great location. I liked the complimentary breakfast/snacks that were provided. Great positive vibes.

Always clean, well appointed, great location and really helpful, courteous and friendly staff

Stayed here with my partner and son. One queen bed 1 single. Room had aircon, microwave, toaster and a fan. Easy to keep cool as it's a small room. Has a private shower and toilet. Bit annoying as booked through booking.com and the pictures advertised showed a room with a cooker which is why we booked realised when we got there we didn't have that. Not the hotels fault but just beware when booking. They have a washing machine and dryer for people to us which is $4 each. Which again we didn't realise wasn't in the room with the way the pictures had been displayed. Breakfast included which is tea, coffee, Milo and muffins, donuts and juice. Small communal area behind reception with a tv. The pool is a good size. Have to say thought that the staff are fantastic, housekeeping staff are absolutely top notch! Couldn't fault them. Rooms are a little dated but they are clean and beds comfortable. Would stay again!

Overall experience was good, reception was absolutely lovely!! Other customers were quite loud especially at 7 in the morning but that’s fine and for almost $200 for one night I thought there would be milk for the coffee provided, since I’m not American or 100 years old I like milk in my coffee, but a 30 second walk to night owl for a coffee wasn’t bad at all, great place to stay just forgot about the little things 🙂

Everything was fine, except for the location.

It’s a really nice place to stay with family. We booked two bedroom suite and it was great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We used laundry facilities as well. A word of caution - dryer permanent press cycle makes clothing really really hot - don’t burn yourself. They have complimentary coffee and sometimes little muffins as well. Our flight out of Cairns got cancelled and so I emailed to request a room for extra night, but didn’t get response so booked another hotel. It’s far from the coast, board walk etc but close to one of Indian restaurants in town.
