Our one-bedroom apartment had access to outside (balcony), extras like washing machine + dryer, well equipped kitchenette, free parking. I appreciate these things. . . but particularly that the staff were always very helpful.

I had a memorable stay here and i will be back again and extend my holiday time in Townsville. The staff were very Deadly they assisted me with my every needs and their personality and performance was outstanding for me room. The room was awesome i enjoyed the bed it felt like clouds nice white and fluffy.

Lovely clean room, spacious and nice balcony view of Palmer Street. Friendly staff and great location for restaurants or a relaxing walk.

Stayed for 8 nights.
Room was really clean & smelled fresh.
Bed & pillows were like sleeping on a cloud.
Reception & housekeeping staff were very welcoming & nothing was too much trouble.
Various cuisines & quality Cafes & Restaurants were very close to the Grand Hotel all within a short walking distance.
Definitely recommend & would stay there again.

Bed & pillows were like sleeping on a cloud.

Great modern property. Good location, very friendly staff. Easy check in and check out. View was of a side street which was the only downside of the stay.

What I didn’t like I have gone for a swim about 2 years ago and back again and had a lot of trouble getting out of the pool with nothing to hang onto it definitely needs a rail for the elderly guess. Thanks Donna

Food was fantastic, the best steak I have ever had. Calamari was amazing. The staff were great, friendly, informative and really cheery. We will most definitely be eating here again. Thanks for a lovely experience.

Food here was amazing. My partner and I had dinner here tonight. We had the calimari entree and the calimari was perfect (not rubbery) and the breading was nice.
I had the garlic prawns over jasmine rice. The prawns had an amazing depth of flavor. The jasmine rice was flavorful but not overpowering. The dressing on my side salad was light yet flavorful. My parter had parmi with chips. It was very good parmi, and possibly the best chips I have ever had. Seriously amazing.
Service may have been a touch slow, but I love slow meals, so I don't tend to count down for that as long as the service is polite and friendly, which it was. The chef even stopped by for a chat.
We enjoyed beer, wine, and cocktails; all were enjoyable.
We sat outside; it was less crowded than other places and felt like a hidden gem.
I saw some negative reviews about precooked food and the like (breakfast reviews, I think), but dinner was definitely not like that. It was fresh, top notch, and delicious.

Simply terrible. Went out for our friend's birthday breakfast and the wait time to be served was ridiculous. Waited for longer than 30 minutes for our order to be taken and then we were seated. The food served was all pre-cooked and not nice at all. Would not recommend to anyone.

Now, I'm not one to usually take the time out of my day to write reviews for sub-par cafes. But this one took the cake.
Waiting in line to be served gave real insight into the plight of Schapelle Corby in a Balinese prison - praying to line up for the firing squad just to be put out of your misery.
Side note: did just witness a staff member walk through the cafe to smoke a cigarette lol
The food was akin to a C standard in grade 8 Home Economics, the service was pathetic, and I can only imagine how horrific it would have been if they were actually busy.

A very sophisticated almost posh feeling or vibe upon walking in the doors. The staff greeted with a smile then seated. One of the nice things, even though the restaurant was full. The staff still made a point I'm making their rounds of each table refilling my drink as I waited for my dinner guest. Food was displayed immaculately and the in all a good night.

I remember I went here with a few mates years ago and one of my friends was using our cup to get a drink of coke and the girl behind the counter said "If you use that cup again to have a drink I'm going to kick you out", so my mate went and got another refill, then she preceded to jump over the counter, grabbed the cup and threw it in the bin. Good times.
