Immediately across the road from the beach, and an easy walk to nearby cafes, restaurants, waterpark, the rockpool and ice creamery. One of the most convenient locations on Townsville's Strand.

The room was clean however ‘fully renovated was a stretch’. Bathroom was pretty scruffy, old shower head, ceiling was not newly painted, stained, door was old.
Entry door had no door handle!
If the motel is advertising fully renovated then a little more effort required.

Great room, very clean. Receptionist was lovely. Aircon was on so lovely and cool and comfortable when we arrived.

Misleading pictures, good location
The pictures on the site are misleading. There are probably some units that are More updated than others. I got one that definitely did not match the pictures with very old fashioned. It is partially remodeled but the remodelling has been done hastily and with a very low budget. Old fixtures have been painted over. The lighting is horrible, like in a hospital.

On the plus side, perfect location and convenient parking. Also it was clean. It’s passable for a one night stay

Very disappointing. Extremely overpriced. The "enough for two" chips costing $5.60 had less than what you'd get in a large fries at KFC! The potato cakes/scallops were $2.20 each - I ordered two, both very overcooked and tiny! It basically tasted like deep fried batter, minus the potato. The oil is obviously not changed often as my food all tasted like old fish (I did not order any fish).
The service was okay, but customers should not have to remind staff for the things they ordered and have to line up again in order to ask for their full order, for example sauce.
Should not have to go back into the store to ask for them to recook as suggested by owner in the responses!
Would not go again.

2.20 a potato cake ??
5.65 for "chips for 2" which is an extra small serving of chips...maybe for 2 infants

Clearly they dont change the oil.

The fish and chips were so over salted that my lips are hurting. The prawn cutlet tasted funny and the crumb was so thick you lost the fish in it. The seagulls are happy put it that way

Great fish and chips, great presentation! Price is on par with any quality fish and chip shop... Great value for money. Oh, the breakfast deal is great too!

Great selection. We'll made. Even a vegan option. It's not cheap but doesn't cost the earth either. Literally like 25 burgers to choose from, fries, nice pop etc.
It's a burger joint, not fancy or super incredible but I liked it and I don't even eat meat!

I have to be very honest and say that my experience at TUBE was seriously very ordinary. Although their buns were good quality, the rest of the hamburger contents were an extreme let down. Not only was the meat patty small, very thin and very odd tasting, upon closer inspection of the patty, it appeared to have a very odd looking colour although it was actually cooked. Allegedly. The rest of the contents in the hamburger were extremely poorly rationed. This is certainly a big let down from a company that supposedly prides itself on good quality and big quantity. I do honestly think that the cook must have been having a really bad day and decided to take it out on my food order. I only hope that this isn't the usual procedure of customers orders. I was subjected to this "experience" approx 14 months ago and I obviously haven't been back since. I have since purchased a far better quality hamburger from a different establishment and have in fact been back several times because the quality of their products are so much more better than what I was served up at TUBE. I am very obviously not in any hurry to return to the TUBE establishment.

I was fortunate enough to win a voucher that Tube had generously donated to help kids with SIDS which is admirable, but also the burgers were delicious and the service friendly and efficient. Well done on all counts! the only thing I will say was the address says the Strand and it's on a side street. Well worth finding!

Worst subway I have ever been to. I was served by a rude girl called Lizz. Who, clearly has absolutely no idea what decent customer service is. Not only was she ignorant and rude she was also dirty. She was constantly cleaning her teeth with her t-shirt and then serving people. Surely there's some hygiene issues with this. I understand that Subway isn't a 5 star restaurant but I didn't order a rude, plaque, salmonella sandwich. It's not hard to be hygienic and polite and listen to customers. How this girl still has a job I will never understand. If I could give less stars I would.
