Location is amazing - walkable distance to the city park. Our family loves it! The room and parking area are spacious too! The room’s soundproof can be improved but thankfully we were traveling on a less busy day so we had a lovely time there.

Quite a satisfactory motel, the room was very spacious. The hotel is located on a small hill and has parking, with three rows of buildings. The city park is just across the road, making it convenient for shopping.

the room was comfortable and spacious and the staff was very helpful and nice. my biggest complaint would be that the walls are a bit thin so you may hear some speaking or tv sounds but at night it’s quiet

can't accept a hotel only have reception and staff on site only from 9-5, it would be quite inconvenient if assistance are require out of that time

The room wasn't large, but the hotel's location was good. I went to check in at the earliest scheduled time (around 2 PM), only to find the front desk was already closed. After calling, I was told how to check emails and obtain a password to open the locker and get the key. This wasn't very convenient, not typical hotel practice, and it's not a guesthouse; I wasn't used to this method.

We stayed two nights and chose the accommodation based on being a convenient walk to CBD and UTAS Stadium.

Reception is unmanned on weekends, and apparently on Friday afternoons as well. We were directed by a typed notice to get the room key from a key safe in the portico.

The room was reasonably well presented, clean with all expected amenities. However, the heating system was inadequate for a Tasmanian winter. The unit was turned off at the power which meant standing on a chair and removing the front cover of the unit to remedy. The remote control was set to heat on cooling mode and cool on heating mode, causing greater confusion (and lack of heat). A sticker on the remote directed us not to change the timer setting. We were cold.

I got the mobile number provided on the notice outside reception and went back to the room to ring it, out of the cold into a marginally warmer space. I was then told to ring the caretaker on the phone in the portico (in the cold). By this stage the heating unit had duped us into believing it was working, so we let it be.

The heater cycled in and out of heat mode all weekend with no particular method and got the room to a just liveable temperature. We were forced out of the room most of the weekend just to keep warm.

The electric blankets worked well, as did the hot water. But we’d have had a more comfortable stay if the heating had been better.

Will stay somewhere else next time.

Ok. Self check-in is convenient. Nice location.
But one day before check-in, I was asked to ask for the password, so I had to call a roaming phone to ask because I didn't receive it.

On 1 Oct 2015 we found the latest version of Snappers to be a distinct if not unique seafood restaurant simultaneously serving diversified demands of hotel guests who might not eat fish and the extremes of modern diets.
My wife announced us as low carb, high fat, fructose intolerant and therefore zero sugar plus zero grains etc and the gentle smile on the face of our food attendant stayed perfectly calm.
I chose the mussels for entree, grilled morwong for main and I can't believe I had oyster custard with hot smoked salmon for desert; definitely unique.
I loved the meal; definitely deserving of a visit and not to be overlooked as an option for your Xmas functions.
