Hotels in Grossarl

Das Edelweiss offers excellent wellness facilities and a very relaxing atmosphere overall. The pool areas are particularly impressive, with several beautifully maintained spaces to unwind. The 25-meter pool is a real highlight: perfectly clean, at a very comfortable temperature, and ideal both for proper swimming and relaxation even when snowing!. The surrounding relaxation zones are also very pleasant...

From the moment we arrived until our departure, we felt that we were best taken care of by all the members of the personell. Actually we were spoiled. The hotel conditions and facilities are above all expectations, the children had their own activities in the 4 Playrooms. The food in the restaurants was amazing, Michelin style. Even tough the hotel is huge, the wood and stone design was impressing...

Great place, can't really fault it. Pools and spa are excellent. Food was great. Staff were excellent. Overall a great experience.

This is a truly fantastic hotel. The staff are totally committed to making everything perfect, even the family owners take the time to introduce themselves and check that you are having a great stay. The facilities are outstanding, from the rooms, restaurants, bars, to the incredible spa area, are world class! This is a master class in how a luxury mountain hotel should be and I can’t wait to visit...

Wow, this hotel is something. The breakfast buffet and dinner service is incredible, as were all of the kids activities. Our 9 year old had a blast on the slides and in the kids/teens rooms. The outdoor pools are quite something. We hope to be able to come back during ski season to enjoy the ski in/out options!

Excellent stay, highly recommended for people who enjoy good quality and can appreciate it. We just hope people can respect the quality and manners expectations

This was our second visit to Hotel Kristal and we couldn’t fault it. We had the best week and experienced a magical white Christmas with a family oriented atmosphere. The new wing of the hotel is magnificent, the food is absolutely outstanding and the kids playroom is a dream for the kids. It was hard at times to convince our son to leave it but at the same time it also meant that we could still enjoy...

We stayed here 1 week during Christmas holidays, the hotel is very clean, food was amazing, staff very friendly and helpful! A lot of attention to details, small gestures which make you feel very welcomed!

Nice and cozy hotel 3 nice skiing days with 2 calm nights in the hotel. Great sauna area.

Just returned from a great family ski holiday staying at Hotel Kristall with our 3 teenage children. Highlights for us include - fab food all week. Couldn't fault anything - warm and inviting hosts - excellent sauna area with juices and teas readily available - games room with table tennis air hockey and table football - access to swimming pool in sister hotel 10 mins walk away - opposite green run...

The last year in summer me and my family visited this wonderful place. We haven't been enchanted only by the landscape, but also by the accommodating people especially in the Hotel Kristall. Everything was just so perfect as it could be. After our arrival the owner herself came to show us our assigned parking place and then she went to introduce us everything we needed in the hotel. Although me and...

Very nice Hotel, clean - the service was excellent. The menu Super super good with a lot of choices. Parking included. You can also charge in case u have an electric car.

Wonderful hotel with great staff. A real gem.

A lovely hotel in a picturesque valley of the Austrian mountains. The rooms and hotel amenities are cozy spacious and really enjoyable. The staff was always friendly, helpful, and offered a small gift on departure which goes the extra step and remains memorable. The highlight was definitely the dinner in the hotel restaurant which offered a multi course dinner menu, prepared from quality ingredients...

The hotel has a great location; it is beautiful and cozy. The staff is very friendly yet professional. The food was great. Our stay was very pleasant, so we will definetely be back

I had a wonderful stay at the Grossarler Hof. The room was thoughtfully designed, offering both a shower and a bathtub, and there was a separate room for my child, which made our stay especially comfortable. We also enjoyed the nice balcony with lovely views. Dinner was very tasteful and beautifully presented — a real highlight of our stay. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive throughout...

Exceptional hotel. Warm, cosy and authentic. Attentive and professional staff especially Ennis on reception and the restaurant manager. Quiet, spacious suites, sumptuous pillows and comfortable beds. Mountain views from every room. The 5 course meals in the evening are Michelin Guide worthy and the spotlessly clean luxurious spa is the icing on the cake. This is now one of my favourite hotels

Well, what can I say? 10/10 5* The rooms are as described, very very comfy and spacious. The staff are very helpful and attentive to your needs. The location (if skiing) count be better, the gondolier is approx 100 meters away. They have a gym, and a sauna and steam room, the have a ladies only sauna if you prefer, a jacuzzi and an outside pool, which is great for relaxing after a day on the slopes...

We made an external reservation for a breakfast and weren’t disappointed at all, amazing food choices (including possibility to make your own waffles 🧇 or to have Kaiserschmarrn for breakfast 😍) and great energy of the place!

Family-driven hotel, perefect location, excellent and delicious food. Spa center and saunas are well maintaned, there are lot of options for kids and adults. Several sauna rooms, rest rooms, external pool with jakuzzi. Rooms however may require an upgrade with new bed/furniture to look more modern. The sofa in our room was worn and not clean. The mattress was worn as well, so the sleep quality was...

Went here with the rest of my family (4 people) last august, the sights were amazing its location being not too far from the airport is great, lots to do within a 15 min drive. I loved the fact that for breakfast you can make your own waffles whatever way you want in the morning and in the afternoon they is an ice-cream area with lots of toppings. The 3 pools were great. That staff went above and beyond...

It was my first experience in Austria for a weekly holiday with my family, and I can admit with no doubt that this hotel provides anything one can imagine to make your stay unforgettable. Even if the weather was unpleasant with many rainy days, we enjoyed every moment at the hotel. All the staff was extremely kind and polite, the kitchen provides every day a plenty of home-made, bio, healthy, fresh...

Lovely saunas/spas. The rooms didn't feel fully prepared (found things left from previous guests). Restaurant was nice and the staff were great 👍 Nice big breakfast but couldn't decide what to have. Could use more warm vegetarian options other than eggs.

I stayed here for a week with my wife and children and the Tauernhof truly meets the definition of a great family friendly hotel, there are many activities for the children at the hotel: a small soft-play for the young children, a room with an arcade game, table football and air hockey for the larger children, two playgrounds, pedal go karts, and a petting zoo, and it feels safe enough to allow the...

Moar Gut is a lovely family hotel with excellent facilities and some fantastic staff. Svea, Katerina in the restaurant and Nikolas the barman deserve credit for providing outstanding service. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the whole team. - We had an extremely unpleasant interaction with Katharina in the kids club who refused to let my 5 year daughter have a “kids cocktail” because it...

We had a wonderful first week here with our children ( 2, 4) in Moargut. Food and service were excellent, the facilities were very impressive, in particular the kids club and swimming area. The children loved visiting and feeding the animals and are still talking about the holiday weeks later. The ski classes, ski transfer and equipment hire was seamless. There was a very relaxed atmosphere around...

Outstanding for young children as well as parents/grandparents who need to feel pampered while the children are looked after. Beautiful setting, fantastic facilities and great staff. Run by a wonderful Austrian family. This really is a superb place.

Amazing for kids but OMG THE FLIES!!! Pros: SO much to do for kids! It’s like a Wonderland for children. Trampolines, gym for basketball hoops, rock climbing, amazing pool, incredible water slide that’s WARM, ball pit, art room, the list goes on. The food is nice, (though keep in mind it is served in mass quantities so some of it feels like upscale cruise quality vs a made to order restaurant.) Cons...

We had a lovely stay at Moar Gut which we liked more than the close by Edelweiss Resort. Moar Gut has great facilities but still feels quite intimate and personal. On all aspects everything is quite impressive except for one thing: the guests. Other great mountain hotels have a dedicated loyal following of civilized guests, adding social structure to these kind of places. At Moar Gut such an audience...

We had the most wonderful four-day stay at Moar Gut during the February half-term with our 6- and 5-year-old boys. This resort truly delivers a luxurious yet family-friendly experience, where both parents and children are equally considered in the design of the holiday. We stayed in Malve, a two-bedroom suite in Blumengartl, which was renovated in June last year. It was cosy, beautifully designed...

Excellent location in Alpendorf, which is a great ski area for families. A very short walk to the gondola. We also really liked the panorama swimming pool (adults only)! We stayed in the vis a vis building, which I would not recommend. The hotel shows beautiful modern pictures but the vis a vis building is really old. Also lots of noise from the streets during the night. We do believe that you would...

Easily the best place that I’ve ever stayed. We spent 4 nights and ordered the breakfast and dinner service. The food was great, the breakfast buffet had so much variety that you would never get bored and the dinner menu changed daily. The hotel amenities were top notch. The spa, fitness center, yoga classes, ski storage area and the rooftop pool and relaxation room. It was a magical place and a great...

Excellent stay. Hotel accessibility to Alpendorf is unmatched. Short walk to gondola to ski. Ski room to store equipment with boot warmers. Hotel food and service amazing. Wellness area is a dream come true. Perfect place to stay where you will not be bored or disappointed

Absolutely loved my 5 day stay at Hotel Berghof. The food was excellent and so were the spa facilities. The hotel has been designed and furnished to a very high standard. It is located very close to the main ski lift and there are ski rental facilities close by. Alpendorf lacks the charm of other Austrian ski resorts I’ve been to. There are no shops or cafes to wander to after skiing, however...

Beautiful experience, great value for money. Plenty of wellness facilities, all very clean - we particularly liked the infinity pool on the rooftop. Amazing panoramic views of the mountains. Breakfast and dinner were luxurious to say the least. We would definitely come back.

We celebrate our wedding at the hotel. We live abroad and the team at the hotel managed to capture and execute our wishes and ideas very good and very quickly. It was a day never to forget. A perfect team work!

Several families, friends traveled with young children. The accommodation was excellent—clean, modern, and well-maintained. The hosts were very attentive and kind. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious.

Super nice place in Salzburg area. Ideal for staying with kids. Great food, especially deserts! Many attractions in area for whole family, definitely will be coming back.

Super friendly staff. Clean rooms. Playground fun for kids. Menu exceptional, creative and modern. Would like to return.

Great hotel, very kind personal ready to help with everything you need. Nice parking. Big thums up fot the food, it is very tasty and healthy, good choice for dinner menu. We like that this hotel prefer quality food over fatty unhealthy fried dishes.

Passing through The staff was nice. I won't use this site to book if we stay again. We had the squeeky bed in the diagonal room. The other rooms looked better. Book with them. Beautiful surroundings. Dinner was awesome and breakfast was great, with made to order eggs. Cooked correctly. (That's hard to find) No fan I guess and so that means open windows. Summer can get hot!

What a place! Extremely great customer service. The owner family is really welcoming and will do everything for a pleasant visit. Tidy rooms. Beautiful views. Perfect spot for nature lovers. Highly recommended!

We have been staying at Altepost every year for around 20 years and would not stay anywhere else in Grossarl. When you stay here you are warmly welcomed and feel part of the Altepost family which is important to us. We would thoroughly recommend it and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Fantastic alphotel with great food and awesome staff. I will come back many times!

The most magical stay, any time of the year! Best views, hikes, food, and staff. Cannot wait to plan our next trip!

I'm still in the hotel but had to comment already. Very very delicious food The rooms are big, we have a 2 bedroom suite since we are a family. The service is on another level. Super friendly and patient. They laugh and joke with guests and make us feel at home. Our toddler can be super loud sometimes but they joke with him and one doesn't feel uneasy. He has even fallen in love with one of the waitresses...

We came across this hotel completely by chance. I was looking for a place with a flexible cancellation policy, a pool, and breakfast included – and it seemed nice. What we discovered was simply perfect! A very large and spacious room, unbelievably clean, with daily housekeeping. The staff is incredibly welcoming, everyone is exceptionally friendly. Gourmet food – thoughtful and unique. Soups that our...

Perfect hotel in a very nice ski village. Sparkling clean and the staff very professional.

I experienced a lovely stay at the hotel, thanks to the spontanious and helpful service staff, thanks to the cleaning staff, to the people behind the reception who were always ready for a smile! The hotel gives a warm and cozy feel, perfect after a long day up on the mountain, and the staff does their absolute best to give you the best time. Thank you!!

Very, very friendly and competent, from the junior, senior manager to the cleaning staff (who are very, very helpful - an EXTRALOB). We stayed in the suburbs for 4 nights from 07/11/22. Top advice for the hikes - highly recommended. And the kitchen - without words. From the versatile breakfast to the 4-course evening meal - a tasteful peak performance - THANK YOU

All around great hotel: very friendly staff, spacious rooms, good beds, fantastic location, rich and delicious food, good facilities. The only drawback: the sauna cabins are relatively small if many guests want to use the sauna at the same time. All in all a successful stay.

We spent a wonderful week here. The hotel staff is extremely friendly, ready to meet all our requests, even though we were not 'easy' guests (very special diet). They prepared special meals for us, we could eat every day something different. The room is clean, spacious and cosy, the wellness area perfect. The relax area so inviting, it is hard to leave it behind. There is a possibility to rent snow...

Very friendly people, very nicely situated close to the centre of Grossarl. Spacious rooms with enough comfort. The meals are copious and tasteful. I really liked the experience and will go and stay here again. Vielen Dank Hubertushof!

Absolutely first class. Great service, exceptional dinners and skiing on the doorstep. What more does one need? Love to return when snow conditions improve. Andy

Fantastic Hotel. Perfect service, hotel Auhof is a true Family hotel, and it's the place for a perfect Familiy Holiday. The people are so kind, breakfast and diner is delicious and there is enough space for drinks at the bar or restaursant. The Hotel is near the ski lift and everything is within reach!

Very nice service, good or very good food. Drinks delivered immediately after the order. They respect Covid-19 restrictions. The prices are not low, but adequate to quality. I personally recommend the place.

Food was quite decent. It took a while for a waiter to come take our orders. We ordered our diner, but the waiter forgot to ask us about drinks at all. Waiters also weren't happy with small jokes.

We just stayed at this hotel for the fourth time during our winter sports holiday. This hotel deserves a solid 10. Everything has been thought of. The service is excellent. The rooms are great. Everything is super clean. The staff is service-oriented and attentive. The location couldn't be better, so what more could you ask for?

Wonderful family runned hotel with great location. Clean rooms, welcoming staff and delicious food.

We come every year and it's always wonderful. The hotel is conveniently located next to the newly built Kieserlbahn gondola. You can step directly from the ski room onto the slope and into the gondola. The staff and the owner are fantastic and very friendly. Especially Fabian, who is always on the ball and in a great mood. I highly recommend this hotel; it's a good size and has a very welcoming,...

Great rooms, breathtaking sceneries, and very supportive and friendly staff that will go above and beyond to help their guest and provide for the best stay possible. Feels more like a 5-star hotel than 4 star.

very well run family business, always in a good mood, very nice and friendly staff, hotel is right on the ski slope, nice rooms, very good breakfast and dinner ... all in all a hit!

Super nice hotel. The rooms are nice and spacious and everything was super clean. The staff is very friendly and committed. We booked half board and were overwhelmed by the great breakfast buffet with everything our heart could desire. In the evening we could choose from 3 different menu suggestions. We will definitely stop by again.

Our winter holiday in the snow. The hotel exceeded expectations. We can certainly only recommend it. On arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff, followed by a room that would have been harder to fit our dogs in, a request for a bigger room was immediately answered and we were given a lovely room. We appreciate it very much. Then we walk around the area here, where it's quiet and peaceful and...

Fantastic experience, everything is at it should be for a perfect holiday. Klaus is a fantastic host, always available for assistance and information, half-board was delicious with nice selection of wines and cleaning staff (I need to point out Mirjana) simply outstanding. Very nice rooms and beautiful location.

The hotel is so so pretty, with such a warm and comfy vibe. The staff was very friendly, the nature was beautiful and the food was exceptional! We loved the dinner menu, so delicious 🙌 The room was big and comfortable, very nice views and the location was great! I would recommend 😁

Family, owner-managed hotel. It is very cozy, clean and well decorated with a little wellness area. The food is great and the staff is super friendly & welcoming! Highly recommended.

My family and I stayed at this hotel in our drive up to Salzburg in the summer. This was one of the most amazing hotels we have stayed in. The owner, Klaus, and his staff were so welcoming, humble and kind. We arrived late and they made us food late at night even with though their kitchen was closed. The hotel was clean and the rooms were newly remodeled. The beds were extremely comfortable. The hotel...

Lovely renovated luxury rooms, great food (halfboard), beautiful views from the balcony, host is very nice, great playground for kids next to the hotel.
