We visited in early February. A real joy. Superb comfort. Excellent service. The weather was perfect. The sea was overwhelming. Emotions were unimaginable. The aura was stunning. Overall, we recommend it.

I believe that this hotel suffers from an identity crisis. While the building itself, it's location near the Thermen, and the average cost for the rooms told us that it would be a nice place to rest and enjoy the spa, there are several aspects that do not fit at all in this first impression :
- the service is rather on the lower side, with employees not being very friendly (just a hello is enough)
— the mattresses are a nightmare. So soft that I hardly believe people can sleep well on that.
— the complete lack of amenities in the room. No boiler, no coffee machine, no complementary water, and no slippers. I am now staying in a 50% cheaper hotel near the airport that includes all these amenities.

Also, if it's your first time to the Thermen, please read the last reviews cause this place is falling apart.
Let me also finish by saying that the breakfast was good and the breakfast room very nice.

The hotel is great but the spa is so so, the staff is awesome and really good. The food is awesome and there are lots of free facilities as well as a trust bar (you take what you want and write it down on a paper).

The romertherme is fine but their staff is horrible.
There is a corridor straight there so you don’t go through the outside.

The decor in the hotel is weird but has cool cabin vibes, like you’re in a movie about the black forest.

Really nice hotel. Access to the neighbouring spa (which is nice, but busy at weekends as its a large public spa) is included and accessible via a direct walkway. Short walk into town/to the nearest tram stop.

Reception isn't 24/7 but there is a handy self-service 24h bar with drinks, snacks etc. Also a small stand selling flipflops, souvenir soap etc. Staff really helpful and friendly. Would definitely come back.

Fromm the moment we walked in, we were really impressed — the hotel’s design is beautiful, and it immediately felt warm and welcoming. We just loved the unique vibe of the place. One of the best parts of our stay was definitely the hotel’s connection to Romertherme. Seriously convenient! There’s even a little corridor that leads straight to the thermal baths, so we could just pop over whenever we wanted. Nearby, we found a charming park , called Rosarium, full of roses and a small lake — perfect for a calm stroll. If I were to pick something that could be better, it would probably be the WiFi. In my room the signal was constantly "poor". For those into cycling, it seemed like you could rent bikes right from the hotel, which is great. Plus, there’s this cozy little bar with a decent drink selection, and in the evenings, you can have a friendly game of billiards. All in all, it’s a lovely hotel full of character, with awesome access to the thermal baths and some thoughtful extras. If they could fix the WiFi, it’d be nearly perfect.

Nice and comfortable hotel. Very clean. Staff were helpfully, the breakfast was tasty. The swimming pool and sauna were very comfortable. The rooms number 222 and 224 have good location. Thank you very much and we will be back. Sure 🤝

Very good hotel, spa included. Well priced. Staff is very helpful. Parking included. They allow next day spa entrance for 10 є per person . Downside, looks a little bit funky, with antique interior details , but overall experience is very good.

Excellent location with added bonus of entry to the pools and spa area. 10 minute walk to the centre and shopping streets. Hotel is great with an eclectic mix of art and furniture. Has to be seen to be believed and we loved it. The bar was honour system which is amazing in this day and age and we enjoyed are evenings there playing cards. Breakfast fantastic, everything you could want from continental to cooked in a buffet style setting. The only negative (sorry) was the mattress was a bit soft for us. However, great stay and great

An overnight stay in the spa town of Baden near Vienna. A very convenient location, easy to find and not as busy as Vienna would be. In Baden old town and like being in Vienna in miniature. The hotel is so interesting. A grand building that has the most interesting interior design full of unusual artifacts, furniture and art. Worth staying just for that. But the location, comfortable large room, sprawling spa complex and delicious breakfast are reasons in themselves to have a few nights here. Thoroughly enjoyed the stopover mainly due to the hotel.

Das Gutenbrunn Thermen & Sporthotel is a 4-star hotel with notable advantages, but my stay had several drawbacks that impacted my overall experience. **Positives:** 1. **Direct Connection to Roman Thermen:** The hotel’s direct corridor connection to the Baden Roman Therme is a significant benefit, making it convenient to access the mineral baths. 2. **Spacious Rooms and Bathrooms:** The rooms and bathrooms are large, with big windows that can be opened for fresh air. 3. **Friendly Staff:** The staff was excellent—everyone from reception to cleaning and kitchen staff was helpful and friendly. **Negatives:** 1. **Bed Quality:** The mattress was too soft, and even with an orthopedic pillow, I woke up sore every morning. This poor bed quality negated the benefits of the Roman Therme. 2. **Breakfast:** Limited fresh fruit options (only apples) and mostly canned fruit. This is disappointing for a 4-star hotel in June when fresh local fruits should be available. The breakfast felt overpriced given the lack of fresh options. 3. **Room Amenities:** Missing several expected amenities: - No hair conditioner or toothpaste provided. - Limited reception hours (8 AM to 7 PM). - Hot water for drinks only available from 2 PM to 10 PM in the main hall. - No sewing kit or vanity set in the room. - Poor lighting in the room during the evening. - No laundry service or slippers provided. - No restaurant and room service. 4. **Noise:** Many windows face the parking lot, leading to noise disturbances. Cigarette smoke could often be smelled from the smoking area below, especially with open windows. **Overall:** The hotel's location and staff are commendable, but the bed quality and breakfast offerings need improvement. The hotel is overpriced for the service provided, and these issues significantly affected my stay.
