Novotel Wien Hauptbahnhof in Vienna

The only flaw is lack of mini refrigerator (considering hot air conditioner in the winter and I'm worried about our chocolate gift might get melt)

I had a very pleasant stay at Novotel Wien Hauptbahnhof. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location is excellent—just a 1-minute walk from Vienna Central Train Station, which made getting around extremely convenient. The hotel itself is nice and clean, and the staff were very helpful, friendly, and welcoming throughout my stay. Overall, a great choice for both comfort and accessibility.

Right next to the main train station, making it super convenient for getting around. The hotel looks big and new, and it's very clean. There's also a large supermarket and plenty of restaurants nearby. Overall, a good stay.

The hotel is near Wien hbf for easy transportation to other cities with OBB train.

It’s very new hotel , everything is clean and new. Great location : Vienna main train station is right downstairs and 5 mins walk to Flixbus stop, 15mins walk to Belvedere palace. Cable bus D takes 6 stops to Karntner street. Highly recommended and if will be the place to stay if I need to visit Vienna again.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, great rooms, top-notch service, and a fantastic breakfast. I'm really pleased with my choice.

**Location:** Getting here from the airport was a breeze – a direct 15-minute train ride (I think it was 5.5 euros) to the Central Station, and the hotel is visible as soon as you exit. You just need to find the right exit, which is flanked by restaurant stalls, including a Chinese one. We actually ate there twice; the food was delicious and affordable (around 15 euros per person).

**Rooms:** The hotel is relatively new, and the room size was perfect for two people. If you have a child, they could comfortably sleep on the sofa (though I'm not sure if it converts into a sofa bed). Trip.com stated the bed was 1.3 meters, but it felt larger in reality, perfectly fine for two. It was definitely better than the Novotel we stayed at in Edinburgh last year, and even cheaper, as the overall cost of living in Vienna is lower than in the UK. The bathroom had a good wet/dry separation, and the vanity counter was spacious enough to hold two toiletry bags.

**Breakfast:** The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, with an impressive selection of fruits. My husband mainly focused on fruits and yogurt both mornings, while I enjoyed croissants, eggs, and coffee.

**Service:** There was no phone in the room, so if I needed anything, I just went down to the front desk. The room had a kettle, but bottled water was only provided on the first day of our stay (two bottles, one of which was sparkling). Tap water is potable. There were no slippers in the room, but you can ask the front desk for them. I even asked for two pairs to wear on the plane when we checked out, haha.

My biggest mistake on this trip was not bringing my own hairdryer. The hairdryers in European hotels are always so old-fashioned, with weak, barely warm airflow.

The hotel is relatively new, clean, and conveniently located, making it suitable for business trips. The facilities are decent; there's a kettle, though the room is a bit small and the bed is quite narrow. I wonder how larger European guests manage to sleep comfortably on it.

This is a standard business hotel. Its main advantage is being close to the train station and the airport shuttle stop. The lighting in the room was extremely dim. The bathroom door was a large mirror, which felt quite unsafe. Additionally, the bathtub had no grab bars or a non-slip mat. Breakfast was just okay.

An excellent choice for the start or end of a Vienna vacation. The hotel has a polished, elegant feel with a lovely front desk area and an amazing rooftop spa where you can unwind while taking in the views. Absolutely fantastic experience. I’d definitely consider staying here again to kick off my next trip.
