Where to stay in Hallstatt

The hotel's location is excellent, right in front of the pier. Communication beforehand was smooth, and they accommodated our room type request. This is the fantastic place next to Hallstatt port just a few steps and nearby a few scenaric spots. Also, the service is great. Breakfast is nice.

This is the top two hotel in Hallstatt but the front counter service is the worst that I met in Europe. I chose this hotel because it’s near to the cruise port but actually it’s has another building that is far away from here, better I take the other 4 star hotel that is near and service much better. Must improve the front desk service

Absolutely charming hotel by the lake. The rooms are cozy and warm, with the private sauna a bonus. Breakfast variety was good and the food delicious. Added points that it’s near to the jetty that ferries passengers to and fro the train station.

4 of us Americans stayed for 2 nights in 2 rooms on the 3rd floor. Stunning view of the lake and mountains from our windows! Staff was very nice!! The in-house restaurant fills up very fast every night at 6pm when they open for dinner. Very clean little rooms. Only complain is that there is not a refrigerator in the room. Fabulous view from the balcony of the market square, church and lake. Lovely welcome from the host. The room was spotlessly clean and a very nice size. Check-in was super quick. Tip: if your staying in Hallstatt overnight I recommend you book a restaurant in advance as most close early.

Great room with a beautiful view of lake. Room was very neat and clean and breakfast also good. The staff assisted very professionally. She give all the details of thing to do in Hallstat. As we have to checkout early to catch the flight they prepared us breakfast. Really recommended place to stay for great view and service.

An amazing place with a rich history right on the lakeshore. The rooms are very comfortable and have a unique old-world charm that really makes the stay special. The only small thing to keep in mind: if you book a room for three people, you should be very close — the soundproofing from the bathroom is… quite honest 😄

This place is truly magical. The location right on the beautiful Hallstatt lake is mesmerizing. The owner lady ... her energy is inspirational.. she goes completely out of her way to ensure that you get want you want.. Book this place without a second thought if you wish for a wonderful holiday in peace.. you won't regret it for sure !!!!!

It is the only place in Hallstatt that does not hate Asians. The owner is attentive and available at any time. The room facilities are comprehensive. Coupled with the beautiful scenery, it is a great place for vacation.

Had a lovely stay at Gasthof - Grüner Anger. It has that old house-homey feel and I loved it. I stayed in a single room with a balcony. The view from my room’s balcony was breathtaking! The room is spacious enough with TV and a wardrobe. The toilet/showers looked like it’s been just newly renovated. 👌🏼 It’s about 3-5min walk to Hallstatt Lahn/bus station/supermarket and 15min walk to the ferry station...

Perfectly located off the market square, we enjoyed a panoramic view of the lake from our balcony; We had a room with private bathroom. A delicious breakfast was served in a quaint dining area. If you’re not use to being in older buildings, be prepared for creaking stairs, floors, and beds. Those wanting a modern facility will likely not be satisfied.

This is the 2nd time I visited Hallstatt and also stayed in Gasthof Simony. I love its lake view single room so much. Nice staffs and convenient location. Worth 5 stars! I am pretty sure i will stay in Gasthof Simony next time if i visit Hallstatt again.
