Perfectly located off the market square, we enjoyed a panoramic view of the lake from our balcony; We had a room with private bathroom. A delicious breakfast was served in a quaint dining area. If you’re not use to being in older buildings, be prepared for creaking stairs, floors, and beds. Those wanting a modern facility will likely not be satisfied.

It was absolutely wonderful to stay at a hotel so close to the famous Hallstatt postcard viewpoint, especially since I was given a single room with a lake view. I made some truly beautiful memories here. The hotel is steeped in history, and I could really feel the local history and culture, perfectly complemented by the stunning scenery of Hallstatt. While the breakfast might not be as lavish as the continental buffets you'd find at four-star or higher-rated hotels, having a simple continental breakfast is more than enough for this price point. The staff were incredibly friendly. They might not speak fluent English, but it was perfectly sufficient for communicating about basic accommodation matters. 能夠入住離在哈修塔特明信片拍攝景點附近的飯店，又給我一個包含湖景的單人房間，真的非常棒。 我在這裡留下非常美好的回憶，這間飯店充滿歷史，我感受到的是歷史與文化，外加哈修塔特的美景。 早餐雖然不若其他四星級以上飯店的歐式自助餐豐盛，但以這個價格享受一頓簡單的歐式自助餐已經足夠。 服務人員態度非常友善，可能沒有辦法用很流利的英文溝通，但對於簡單的住宿事由的溝通，都已經足夠。

Our stay in Hallstatt was simply unforgettable! The village is absolutely magical — like stepping into a fairy tale. Every corner has stunning views of the lake and the mountains, and the whole place has such a peaceful and unique charm. We stayed at Gasthof Simony, and it was the perfect choice! The location couldn’t be better — right by the lake and in the heart of the village. Our room was cozy, clean, and full of character, and we loved waking up to the beautiful view every morning. The breakfast was delicious and fresh, served in a lovely atmosphere overlooking the lake. The hosts were wonderful — friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. We felt truly at home and appreciated their warm hospitality. We would absolutely love to come back one day. Thank you for making our stay in Hallstatt so special! 💙

The most convenient thing about Gasthof Simony- Hallstatt is its location. Since we opted for the highest category in terms of the accomodation, our room not only ensured a view of the lake but also had an attached bathroom. That's a huge thing considering most rooms have shared bathrooms. It is an old building and the furniture is very old. So expect creaky sounds whenever you turn on the bed or walk in the stairs. The walls are porous, so there is also sound when others walk or talk. The staff is friendly and helpful. I want to thank both the women for their kindness and patience.

This is the 2nd time I visited Hallstatt and also stayed in Gasthof Simony. I love its lake view single room so much. Nice staffs and convenient location. Worth 5 stars! I am pretty sure i will stay in Gasthof Simony next time if i visit Hallstatt again.

Charming room in very old creaky building overlooking the lake. After 3 weeks of traveling around Austria we found the breakfast to be poor in comparison. Fruit was past its prime, convenience store quality bread and rolls, no option for coffee drinks such as cappuccino. Hotel proprietress terse and rude. Service and food poor, but lovely setting and fun quirky room with a comfortable bed.

The Gasthof Simony was perfect! Lots of character and history here. The breakfasts were delicious with great choices. The rooms were comfortable and while the floorboards do creak, it just added to the ambience! Would 100% stay again.

We had no idea what we were getting into when we booked this place but it is a complete dump. While it may be somewhat cheaper than other places in Halstatt it's one of those situations where you get what you pay for...and this was an expensive lesson because the rooms weren't exactly cheap. The hotel staff aren't particularly friendly but that could be because their English is lacking, something that could be forgiven if this were a decent bread and breakfast but it's not. I'm surprised the city hasn't shut this place down and condemned the building, which is run down and in bad need of renovations. Our room didn't have a toilet or shower, which we weren't aware of when we booked. All it had was a small sink. The shared bathroom has no soap so you're on your own to buy it if you didn't pack any. There's no TV or anything you'd expect to find at a decent hotel. The floor needs to be replaced and squeaks loudly every time you walk on it. That means you'll hear your neighbors walking around at all times of the day and night. The paint on the walls is chipped. We were there for two nights and couldn't wait to leave. Oh yeah, the breakfast is very basic and only served from 7:30am to 9:30am. If they run out of something (and they will unless you arrive early) then you're out of luck. They don't restock anything. The only nice thing about the place is that it's located right on the water. However, that's not enough to make it acceptable. Avoid this bread and breakfast unless there's nothing else available.

Beautiful views if you get the right room, but that’s where the goodness ends. Staff was rude and inattentive, shuttle service “will be there when he’s there” with no indication of when that’d be(both to/from parking). Beds were so creaky that no one could sleep if you moved a muscle. Shared bathrooms had no soap. Breakfast buffet was not enough for the amount of guests and quickly ran out with few options nearby.
