Check-in was a bit tricky and somewhat confusing, but the staff was always available by phone and very kind and helpful. The location is great, making the value for money excellent. Wall decorations add a lot of charm, and the cleanliness was perfectly fine, though the paint is worn in several places, giving the space a slightly run-down vibe. Despite some obvious drawbacks, I would gladly choose this place again if needed.

Getting access was a nightmare - staff didn’t respond to messages and supply a code for the door. Eventually I had to walk across town to find someone who could provide an access card - which was time-consuming. Room was very basic with a lot of noise from the street.

I chose this hotel because of the price for its location and it is in the centre of town. However it was a terrible choice. My room was so bare and uninviting that I felt it was like a prison. No soul or warmth anywhere. I couldn’t wait to leave. There were no facilities bar a very cheap clothes rail, side table and tiny ‘table’ and chair. Nothing on the walls and roller blind The bathroom had an old bath with the tiniest of bulbs and screws on the wall where the towel rail was. Worst, there was no drinking vessel. Nothing! It could be that it’s going to be refurbished but the walls had just been painted. To add to my misery, there was the lovely sound of drills and concrete cutters going all day from 7am!!!! No chance of a lie-in or afternoon rest. I was unlucky with that and the party next door with its screaming and shouting until 3am. There are no staff and the cleaners never smiled. Possibly as a backpacker sightseeing and in a bar until 11pm then you may not care and then the price is ok I guess. If you want to spend a little time in the room then avoid at all costs.

A very basic tired budget room with no furniture bar the cheapest coat rail, side table and chair. The bathroom is in desperate need of modernisation and the light was far too dim. There was only the tiniest of bins which was in the bathroom and NO drinking vessel!!! Forcing you to buy a bottle of water in the foyer. There was building work being done underneath my bedroom starting at 7am and through the day. No chance of a lie in or rest in the afternoon. A partial refund perhaps?? Not the hotels fault but there was also a party next door until 3am! I don’t understand why there is a door handle notice if you want your room cleaned but they come in anyway and change the towels and fold my duvet. I might have been unlucky.

Simple rooms but worked great for us. Clean bedding and towels. Great shower water pressure!! Comfy beds. Good location just off a main shopping street and v close to a gorgeous big square with plenty of restaurant options. Self-Check in was a little tricky but we worked it out in the end. Check out was super easy ✅
