The location of this hotel is excellent and the room seemed pleasant enough - but the hotel public spaces were filthy and borderline unsafe. Filthy carpets, furniture, exposed wiring, left out tools and cleaning equipment as well as the steepest stairs you’re likely to come across. It should also be said there is no lift. If you’re on the top floor then good luck with a heavy suitcase! Breakfast was pretty poor too. Lack of selection. The parking allocation is not outside the hotel. You can have up to 20 mins to drop bags off. However, you need to drive another five mins to a lock up garage area. It’s not too far at all. If this place had a thorough clean and tidied up, particularly the unsafe areas, it would have a really good chance at being a nice hotel.

The hotel is in a very good location to explore the city. Our room (on the ground floor) was tired (wallpaper peeling, handle coming off cupboard, etc) but the bathroom was new. It was nice to have breakfast on site. The ground floor room was problematic. The room was warm with no Ac. When we opened the window it was loud and people were standing on the strret snoking right outside our window.

6 of us stayed 2 nights. The location is perfect. Room was good, had everything we required, it was extremely hot when we stayed, there was a large fan in the room which helped a little but as we were ground floor we were reluctant to have the windows open. There is no bar here but you are right in the centre of Bruges. Breakfast was satisfactory. Only downside was all parking was taken and we tried to book it 3 weeks before so it gets booked up early. You can park on the street outside but it is very expensive. We would definitely stay here again.

Room on the 1st floor with no AC, left the windows cracked open, thank God there were 2 fans. Breakfast included was below average and included buns, cereal in tubs and lunch meats.

Great hotel, breakfast lovely. Room was clean and comfortable and it was a great location. Only small problem was our family room was up several flight of very narrow staircases with no lift, we didn’t pack light as this was a multiple stopover trip, it was very hairy going up and down the stairs with heavy suitcases. We’ll know to pack light next time but just be aware if you have mobility issues as no lift. Pleasant stay though :)

It was a pleasant stay as hotel is near to all the tourist attraction. Breakfast had options. I reached the hotel in the evening. It was little difficult to coordinate to open the gate as there was no one at the reception. I would recommend this hotel if get this at decent price

We loved this hotel the location was amazing so close to everything. The staff were amazing and helpful. The only warning to note is there are stairs and no elevator, the stairs are steep and if you are travelling all the way from Australia and likely travelling with large luggage the you may want to ask for ground floor in booking or make sure you have someone to help get the luggage upstairs we have to go up 3 flights of stairs not easy. Doable but not easy. There is no air conditioner but they did have a pedestal fan. Apart from that highly recommend the hotel.

The small cozy hotel is located in the center close to important places of interest. The room is small but enough for two people considering the fact that you spend most of your time in town rather than in the hotel. The breakfast is excellent, wide variety. The room was clean, towels replaced on a daily basis. Some minor changes could make your stay even more comfortable. For example some hangers in the bathroom would be needed to hang more towels. Same is true for the room itself. We got one chair in a double room so two would be better. And there is nothing you can put your suitcase on so this could be easily fixed. People at the reception are very helpful, Sara was absolutely fantastic helping in any way she could.

Good hotel in a great location in Bruges. It wasn't too loud but very central. The breakfast was very good and had very helpful staff. It was definitely well worn, but pretty standard for an older European hotel. The bathroom was very small and a bit moldy. However, the main room itself was very spacious and had a nice big window. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay.

We love Bruges and have visited and stayed in a different hotel each time. This was good value and they had a family room available. We arrived at 1am, communication with the hotel was excellent. We couldn’t find the pre booked car park so we used the Langstratt car park. On arrival we used to key code to get in and the envelope with our key was left at reception. Room was a little dated but so comfortable. The reception area and breakfast room were beautifully decorated for Christmas. The hotel is in a good location and we couldn’t fault our star. Breakfast was plentiful. Would definitely stay here again.

Our first visit since the rebrand from Anselmus. Refurbished room was very small, nothing like the photos and not one we had stayed in before. Previously, rooms had a bath, this just had a small shower with nowhere to hang wet towels, no hooks. The basin in the bathroom was new, looked stylish but it was impossible to wash hands or face without soaking the entire washing area as the single tap in the middle was not moveable and the off tap was at the back of the sink. It looked stylish but was badly designed. There was a kettle with no cups or coffee, so not much use. The wardrobe only had 2 hangers. There were workmen working on the front part of the hotel and there was quite a lot of dust. Reception were very helpful but no help with luggage up 2 flights of very steep, windy stairs. It was ok for a short break but we would probably look elsewhere if we go again.
