Ter Duinen in Bruges

This is a really excellent hotel. The location is a bit out of the center, so you do have to trek back and forth. But there is a bus stop right in front. And the walk through the northern edges of the center is pretty nice, especially among the canals. You will really feel a local vibe up there. The staff was very kind and accommodating. Our canal-facing room was spacious and comfortable -- as it was partially blocked by painting scaffolding, we were offered a bit of a discount. The common areas are clean if not very spacious, and they look upon pretty little outdoor seating areas. The dining area with high ceilings is a fun place to have a tasty breakfast. Overall, we really appreciated the hotel and highly recommend it.

Overall the hotel is charming and quirky. It’s a leisurely 20-minute walk from the old town, and overlooks a lovely canal. The neighborhood is mainly residential, with a couple of small convenience stores nearby. Breakfast is tasty and fresh, with several options for food and beverages. The main downside was trying to get luggage up and down the stairs, as the elevator does not have access to each of the half-floors. Additionally, the front desk coverage is not 24 hours and was a bit inconsistent; for example, we requested extra towels and were told they would be delivered shortly but they never arrived. After 6 pm front door access is via room key only. A pleasant stay, but in future we might try a different property.

We stayed for one night, and the location was perfect—very close to all the main attractions. The place was clean, quiet, and had a fantastic breakfast area. The lady at reception who welcomed us was incredibly helpful and very polite. I would highly recommend it, as it offers excellent value for money

Lovely little hotel on the canal just north of the city centre - just 10 mins walk to the Grand Place. Decent-sized rooms, very nice breakfast and helpful staff. Would recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ter Duinen. We would like to visit again next time we're in Bruges. Summary: Service 10/10 Location 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10 Cleanliness 10/10 Comfort 9/10 Storage space 8/10 Bathroom 7/10 Breakfast 9/10 Overall 9/10 We stayed for two nights on our way back from a rail holiday in Europe. Right from the start the receptionist was very friendly and set us at ease. She also gave us two handy maps, including a small one which has the location of the hotel marked and which we found very useful. She also answered my questions, giving recommendations for a chocolate shop and a list of good restaurants. We'd requested some extra bedding beforehand and it was waiting for us in the room. The room was very peaceful and comfortable with a view of the canal. There was enough storage space for our needs. We appreciated the table and two armchairs and the kettle, mugs and glasses. I suffer from chronic migraine and the lighting in the bedroom and bathroom was ok for me (there were lots of options to modulate the light which I appreciated, and a light on the bathroom mirror where you could change the colour temperature). There was also a useful shelf under the sink and lots of hooks for towels. The bathroom was slightly let down by the design of the shower which didn't have anything to stop water splashing out when using the rainfall mode. I enjoyed my shower but then had to do a lot of mopping up! The standard mode was ok though. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly come again.

Great location, 15min walk to the Christmas market. Hotel and rooms are very cute, had a great view of the canal. The breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend and would go again.

First class service from reception, warm and welcoming. The rooms were clean and well presented, fully stocked, it was modern and luxurious definitely worth the money !! Comfortable beds with a lovely tv brilliant for a relaxing evening. Breakfast was very enjoyable with a nice spread of food and drinks available. Would 100% recommend and will be back again !

The room and hotel were very clean and tidy, amazing views and serene location, only a 10 minuet walk from the center, very comfy and welcoming environment, staff were lovely and willing to help. Great value for money,
