Samba Bossa Nova Ipanema in Rio De Janeiro

I felt compelled to leave a review after seeing some of the recent reviews regarding noise and cleanliness of the rooms

I spent a while reviewing options for my stay in Rio. The main tourist areas aren’t inexpensive, so I found myself trying to decide do I book at Bossa Nova which was a bit more economical, or splurge for a more expensive hotel

Ultimately, my thriftiness prevailed, and I opted for the value of Bossa Nova. For the price point, the rooms were a great. Breakfast was good, not great. Location was great. There’s no bells and whistles of a pool or beach view, but for a traveler on the go, all I need is a clean place to sleep so I can well rested for my next adventure

I was between this hotel, and one of the main Copacabana beach hotels that was double the cost. Overall, for the price, I very pleased with my stay and would recommend them for anyone traveling who isn’t planning on spending much time at the actual hotel

One last comment, my flight was leaving at 9 PM which always puts you in an awkward spot for check out. Bossa Nova offered me a half day rate to check out at 6 PM, which was truly amazing to allow me to spend another day enjoying the city and still shower and be presentable before my flight later that day.

Recommended accommodation in an excellent location.

Good hotel with that price. Breakfasts are good but not many options.
Furniture is little old.

The hotel rooms are not the cleanest.
The tile on the bathroom wall were dirty. And the mattress was a FRIGHT under the flat sheet that is folded. I slept on top of my duvet and felt just fine. The hotel is often used by “content creators” 

The hotel is in a great area and walkable to the beach on both sides. It was cheap, so I was happy with everything.

The hotel it’s very well located, big room , nice breakfast, friendly staff

Overall great value for money, big rooms, excellent location and attentive staff, the only areas for the improvement are breakfast which used to be excellent in prior years and the lack of a gym.

Nice hotel in a good location. Always nice staff at front desk. Good mutliple option for breakfast. Only problem waiters doesn't speak english make it a lit bit complicated the comunication but overall very mice good stay. My second stay there and will be back.

Great breakfast! Room keys always stopped working, so be ready to make numerous trips downstairs. Would stay again.
