What an amazing place to stay. My partner and I have stayed all over the world in a number of different high-end accommodation resorts, including five different ones in the Maldives, and they don't even come close to the incredible stay that we had at Song Saa. We stayed for six nights, which was not enough; we would have loved to have stayed for longer. It was actually a really, really sad goodbye. I've seen a couple of reviews here saying that staying for a couple of nights here and there is plenty. We would have loved to have stayed longer, and we stayed for the best part of a week. First of all, the seamless boat ride from the port was really easy. They even waited for us, as our flight was delayed, without any issues and didn't charge us any more for it. They're always more than willing to bend over backwards to make sure that we arrive safe and sound. Communication from making the booking to picking us up from the shuttle was very, very easy, and we never had any worry whatsoever. When it arrived, the staff were incredible from the first moment. We have never had a better experience when it comes to the way we were treated by the staff. They were incredibly attentive; they greeted us by name; they treated us like people and friends, were having normal conversations with us, not just hi and bye and very little interaction. Manish, who was the manager, came and spoke to us every single day and made a point of greeting us at breakfast. Natesh, who was the customer experience manager, went out of his way for a number of things and made sure that everything was always an incredibly high standard in terms of service. Tia at the restaurant and her team, and the whole team, were unbelievable both in terms of service and the food, which was incredible. My partner, who is incredibly picky when it comes to ingredients in the food and is an absolute nightmare to make changes to dishes, was treated with an unbelievable amount of respect. We never even had to mention more than once what she wanted in terms of things to be left out of dishes, because when we told them once, the team knew from then on. We cannot recommend this any higher. If you want to feel special, you want to just de-stress, relax and enjoy the nature, the incredible design as well, again, the small touches, the tiniest things, they got right, they actually went over and exceeded in terms of the standard. You cannot be disappointed; it was worth every single penny. Also, no plastic; the sustainability of the property is at the forefront of all of the decision making and the environment in general, both when it comes to the property itself and the villages around it. If you are umming and ahhing as to whether you should book or not, don't hesitate. It is an amazing place, and we're even thinking about when we can come back. Thanks so much once again. I had the pleasure of spending a week on Song Saa Private Island in January with a group of friends, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Beyond the island’s stunning natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere, it was the genuine hospitality and consummate professionalism of the entire team and management that truly distinguished our stay. The cuisine was exceptional—fresh, refined, and beautifully prepared—while the villas offered privacy and comfort in equal measure. The wide selection of spa treatments and activities like diving provided the perfect balance between relaxation and exploration. In every aspect, the team exceeded our expectations and anticipated our every desire. A stay at Song Saa is a rare and unforgettable experience.

An absolutely stunning experience from beginning to end—easily one of the most incredible places to stay anywhere in the world. It’s honestly difficult to put into words; it’s the kind of place you simply have to experience for yourself. My wife and I recently spent four nights at this incredible resort, and from the moment we were warmly greeted on the boat jetty by waving staff to the moment we left, we were treated like royalty. We were celebrating my wife’s 60th birthday and our 25th wedding anniversary, and the team went out of their way to make the occasion truly special. On arrival, our bed was beautifully decorated with a floral display. They surprised my wife with a birthday cake and left a selection of delicious treats in our villa. We stayed in an Over Water Villa, which was beautifully appointed and offered spectacular views across the bay, especially at sunset. Each villa is assigned a dedicated host who kept us informed with daily messages outlining activities, dinner menus and our dining location for the evening. All four of our dinners were set in different, stunning locations around the island, which made each night feel unique. What made Song Saa truly stand out was the care and attention shown to my wife. As she is vegan, the chef thoughtfully created a bespoke vegan menu for each dinner. There were also plenty of vegan options available at breakfast and lunch. This made her feel valued and considered, rather than like an afterthought — something she has unfortunately experienced at other hotels. One morning, we enjoyed a private breakfast on the adjoining jungle island, where the chef personally served us, assisted by two waiters. We also took a guided kayak trip through the mangrove river on Koh Rong Island with a representative from the Song Saa Foundation. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about the wildlife and fish that inhabit the mangroves. To complete our stay, we enjoyed a wonderful Khmer massage and a relaxing sound bath experience. We would thoroughly recommend Song Saa and would return without hesitation.

We stayed at Song Saa Private Island for one week with close friends, and it was truly one of the most amazing experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely disconnected from the outside world — in the best possible way. It’s a paradise far away from everything, peaceful, intimate, and incredibly beautiful. The service was absolutely outstanding. Every single team member was warm, kind, and genuinely friendly. You can feel that they truly care about the guests. They made our stay unforgettable. The food was absolutely delicious — every meal was fresh, creative, and beautifully presented. We looked forward to every breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We stayed in Villa 1, sharing it with two friends. Having our own private pool made everything even more special. Waking up, swimming, relaxing together — it felt like a dream. There were so many wonderful activities: snorkeling in crystal-clear water, four unforgettable dives, kayaking around the island, and exploring the marine life. One of the highlights was visiting the island to learn more about what the Song Saa Foundation is doing. It was inspiring to see their commitment to sustainability and the local community. The massages were also incredible — deeply relaxing and the perfect way to unwind. If I could give 10 stars out of 10, I absolutely would. Song Saa is not just a hotel, it’s a magical experience we will never forget.

Words cannot express our experience and Song Saa. As soon as we stepped off the boat, we were welcomed with the staff waving from the dock and restaurant as well as a refreshing cucumber drink! Each villa has a personal host for easy communication to make reservations for activities on the island. Our host was absolutely amazing and very kind, she was the best!!!
I would highly recommend booking the cooking class with the islands head chef. We cooked traditional Khmer dishes with the freshest ingredients grown on the island. The food on the island exceeded any expectations I had. It was modern, yet traditional.
The wines too were delicious and paired with the food very well.
We eloped on the island and the staff looked after all of the wedding ceremony and dinner as well as a special Monk blessing ceremony. Our ceremony was decorated so beautifully on the beach, and the food was out of this world!
We were relaxed from start to finish and I would highly recommend staying minimum 2 nights to get the most out of what the friendly and beautiful staff have to offer. I can’t express what a great experience my husband and I had.

Song Saa was absolute perfection from beginning to end. Every little detail was perfect. The staff were all warm, friendly and 100% focused on guest experience; nothing was too much trouble for any member of the Song Saa team. A special mention to Mithona (part of the guest experience team) who was just fantastic. I highly recommend Song Saa, it is a genuine 5 star luxury experience with a parallel focus on sustainability and doing good for the planet. An absolute must for any visit to Cambodia!

I can’t praise Song Saa enough. Everything about it surpassed our expectations. It is a wonderful place to distress and relax with excursions available is you want something more strenuous! We had an ocean view room which was simply beautiful. The staff at Song Saa are simply amazing- respectful, friendly, always smiling and so attentive. Cambodians are beautiful people. Just go if you can
