This motel, though it is conveniently located, was one of the worst motels that I ever stayed at. It was very noisy, dirty outside, has mice in the rooms,( I saw one), and the Manager is not very professional. Out of 10, I'd give it a two for convenient location. Otherwise, it is just another dive of a Motel that I would never recommend!

The room was everything I asked for, I use the kitchen daily for preparing my meals. It took me a little while to get the fridge to refrigerate to my liking. The bathroom spacious in the bedroom what’s perfect as I was the solo traveler in the honeymoon suite

VACANCY. In bright red neon. Readthe highway-side Bluebird Motel sign. Around 4:00 AM on Thurs. Dec. 11, 2025. I had a client in taxi from the local hospital ER (who resides on Gabriola Island) He needed a room for the rest of the night. I rang the big white after-hours Office button to inquire about availability. About 90 seconds later, a surly old innkeeper opened the door and she said, "I don't rent out rooms at this time of night".
And promptly closed the door.
Thanks for nothing, Bluebird Motel.

Loud area, older furniture and most electrical outlets didnt work. Bed was decently comfortable and had recent renovations. The price was high for a room of that value.

The staff were not kind i didnt get my recipet and check in and the man got upset assuming i got it and then the lady worker also wasnt kind wjen we first checked in
If you looking for affordable one night stay kindnof deal this is the hotel, the room was bad was spacious not much hot water,
Very noisy with partiers in the area kept hearing banging and yelling and walking on porch
Would not stay here again for my family

Newly renovated
Room is recently renovated. Bathroom was especially clean and new. Beds were older but still good. We were catching the first morning ferry so the location was great. Also close to two nice parks, one on the harbour and the other had a waterfall. Price was steep for a motel room, but overall pleased with our stay

The room had air conditioning ,I thought that was great ,only downside was our card wouldn't work and needed to have maintenance to fix it ,we did have a little wait but maintenance came right away and took care of i

The service was very bad. After cleaning the room, they didn't provide coffee, sugar, or anything. The worst thing was that the phone kept ringing until after midnight, so I had to unplug it. The woman who works in the office is absent most of the time. Overall, it feels like a place for homeless people. I don't recommend it at all.

Absolutely delicious traditional Indian dishes and a mix of north American vegetables. The staff are on top of every need and are very friendly. This is a great place for a nice evening out for a date or to bring the whole family

Our hockey team went here for a team dinner. It was buffet style. The food was really delicious and such a pleasure to have such good food, not pizza and hamburgers at a team event. The Tandoori Calamri was delicious, especially with the house made hot sauce. I also really enjoyed the butter chicken and the spinach lamb. YUM!

Came with my Fiancée as it's been a while since we've had Indian Cuisine. I ordered the Canadian Hot Butter Chicken and my Fiancée had the Indian Hot Butter Chicken. We both loved our intensities and with the garlic naan to top it all off, we were more than happy with our choice of dinner for the night.

Host was very nice and friendly. It was just slightly more expensive than I expected but worth it for the quality of the dish. Definitely going to come back.

My girlfriend and I endured horrible service from a subway employee. He took forever to enter the lounge area from the back room. Despite the fact the store was completely empty and we weren't holding up a line, he repeaditively asked what I wanted after I had told him I had no idea and needed a moment. He appeared to have no knowledge of what his job entailed, and asked multiple redundant questions; I know this as I worked at subway for a few years. When I asked for extra spinach I received approximately 8 leaves of spinach. When asking for more repeaditively i received 2 or 3 pieces and eventually gave up. I do not see asking for extra veggies to be a problem considering I had 3 veggies on my sandwich. This was the worst experience I have ever had at subway and I will not return.

Homeless begging for money cigarettes inside McDonalds . It seems you can't even have breakfast without this occurring in Nanaimo now. And if that wasn't bad enough everywhere we go we have to look for hypodermic needles like give me a break Enuff is Enuff I'm not one for government but I think it's time they stepped up to the plate and sorted this problem out

Just another Nanaimo McDonald's. Staff we very pleasant to deal with. Service was not the fastest I've encountered, but food was served with a smile.

Have received freezer burnt buns on many occasions. Otherwise the food tastes like any ol' McDonald's.

As of this writing we have been in the drive through for 27 minutes waiting for two breakfast meals. People before us waited as long for a single coffee. Not sure what the issue is but we are now leaving with no food. Terrible management.

The new garlic parmasan seasoned fries were horribly greasy! My girlfriend and I both tried them and both of us had soaking wet fries half way to the bottom of the box. Thought I would give them a chance but never again. Otherwise this is quite a nice location, good food, decent service, and fairly clean.

Just dont understand why i had to pay .75 cents more for a plain coffee frapp and the cup was smaller than the reg large. That is a total rip off!!?? Next time ill pass on bye and go directly to Starbucks for that kind of money!!!
