This is a great place to stay if you like to be worried about being murdered in your sleep!
And great news, if you do end up being murdered, and your body leaves a stain on the sheets, they’ll leave it for the next person. At least thats what it looked like when we checked in. How sweet of them. I also prefer my sink not to drain, and if the towels could look like they were previously used as toilet paper, that would be fantastic. This place met all of my expectations.

It’s a good location, close to downtown and close to the bus stop if you’re not driving. A nice Korean restaurant at the hotel. Good food.

Can’t think of a worse place to stay.
Bedsheets, towels, and comforters all had stains.
Got a room with 2 double beds and one bed didn’t even have sheets. Requested a fitted sheet and they gave me one with multiple stains on it, made me question if it was even clean to begin with.

Only provided 2 body towels and hand towels that also already had stains on them.

We were wrongfully charged for 4 damaged towels, even though we barely wanted to touch them bc everything felt dirty to the touch.

I guess the owner is desperate for cash if they have to charge the cc for no gd reason.

Learn how to use bleach Port-O-Call.

They didn’t have paper towels at all. Bathroom tap was leaking even after locking it tightly. Need to be more clean and bright

Very disappointing stay. The room was completely different from the pictures shown online. It had a strong unpleasant smell and was very poorly maintained. The bed sheets were dirty and had hair on them, which made it feel unhygienic and unsafe to stay. Overall, the property was not clean and did not meet basic standards. I was extremely uncomfortable and had to request a refund. I would not recommend this place.

The room was fine, though unusually styled. Pictures hung up with a screw going right through the canvas, not placed anywhere logical on the wall etc. Not a big deal by any means, but odd enough to warrant a raised eyebrow on initial inspection of the room. No towels in the bathroom, had to grab backup from living area storage.

Checking in was easier said than done, the desk wasn’t manned even 10 mins after 4, when the signage said the desk was staffed from 9-5.

The place is a rooming house. 6/10 for maintenance.
Staff was amazing.
Spend more and get some sleep.

We just spent two nights there and we're extremely disappointed. The room wasn't as clean as it could have been. There was one large towel for 2 people we paid extra for a kitchenette that we could not cook in. it had a hot plate, but no pots or pans. We were not made aware of this until the following day When we made front desk aware we were told we had to supply them ourselves.. I am not sure what we paid extra for when we couldn't even cook. They were eager to take our money as we informed them we would like to be able to cook.Nobody told us this in regards to no pots and pans.T v did not work. We could not use the freezer as there was so much ice built up in the entire thing. It was absolutely taken over by ice buildup. The man from the front desk came and fixed the tv and it wouldn't work again. Finally the next day I got it going.Towels which we were told housekeeping was going to bring the following day...They never did.We were then locked out of our room.Because the battery died for the card entry.
It was very loud,There was lots of undesirable people in and around the building, police and random people knocking on our door.. We went to talk to them at ten thirty about the whole experience upon checkout. You have to call them because they don't open until eleven. The man from the front desk after we asked for compensation first said, no then, he said he would talk to his manager. No one has reached out or contacted us despite expressing such displeasure the evening prior. Overall, a very disappointing experience. We would never stay there again. We've stayed in a ton of hotels from Victoria up to Campbell River and never have we ever experienced a place that does not supply pots and pans. When informed that we had never encountered this. The man from the front desk basically said he doubted that..So we did reach out to some places on the way every one of them that included a kitchenette also included dishes to cook on. A very disappointing first experience how they handled it was even more disappointing.

I had terrible dinner at this restaurant. Food is horrible, I couldn’t eat any thing and waste my money here. I will not go back or recommend any one to here. In addition, the attitude of the owner was very bad when we complained about food and service.

Stay away from this place. The new owner doesn't know how to run the business. He treats his staff unfairly and awfully. The kitchen is unorganized. The food is awful and inedible. PLEASE DO NOT PLAN TO EAT OUT IN HERE.

Wasted $80 and no alcohol ordered. I heard after I was there that the place was sold to new owners. That was very apparent the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was dead.

The server was not experienced at doing her job. The food came out piece meal and not in any kind of order you would expect.

The worst part was the food. It did not taste freshly prepared. It tasted like 2-3 day left overs. How rice pilaf can be screwed up and gross is another sign that amateaurs purchased this restaurant.

This place will close soon. Take your money to Zouglas or Asterias. I would have if i had known. The last time i was at Marina's, the old greek lady was there, the food was spectacular and authentic and the atmosphere was Greece.

Its a hollow shell of its former self and a good lesson for anyone who thinks they can just buy a restaurant and run it without prior experience. New owners will be broken by their choice and this disaster they call a restaurant.

Just the way it is....sad.

Over priced and tasteless food. The menu says rice and potato with each Entrée and on the same page they ask $5 for rice with Kalamari. It was all batter and lacked flavour. The presentation was the same as hospital food. The server was friendly and hard working.

Went there last night with my mom and grandma and the food was awesome. We shared a Greek salad, appy platter, and lamb souvlaki, and even with all the food, we left our plates clean. What really stood out was the staff. Our main server was a young girl who I believed was named Bailey (sorry if the spelling is wrong) and she was very sweet and attentive. She went out of her way to help us plan out our trip route to Tofino and made sure that we had everything we needed for dinner. She was assisted in serving our table (she was too young to serve alcohol) by another woman who was thoroughly engaging to talk to. Both made our experience very memorable. I would highly recommend this restaurant and would come back in the future if I come through Nanaimo again.
