Blossom Hill Inn in Lijiang

The warmest stop of our honeymoon. Even with the language barrier, the owners were so kind and arranged everything thoughtfully, making our trip easy and enjoyable. Great breakfast, clean and comfortable room, a courtyard full of Naxi character, right in the old town with stone lanes outside the door. All the small thoughtful touches really moved us. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Lijiang!

This guesthouse is my absolute favorite in Lijiang, a true hidden gem I almost don't want to share, haha. I first stayed here over ten years ago. Later, when Huazhujian was acquired by HUAZHU Group, I was worried it would lose its warmth and become just another cold, standardized hotel. But I was pleasantly surprised! Everything is still so comfortable and exactly what a guesthouse should be. You can relax, sip tea, chat, and soak up the sun, or listen to the rain when it pours. The young staff are all incredibly enthusiastic, and the manager is so gentle and thoughtful. They even went out of their way to find someone to buy medicine for me in the middle of the night when I wasn't feeling well. The breakfast is simple, nutritious, and delicious. Thank you so much!

Had a fantastic stay! The staff (guys and girls) were all super friendly. The owner provided lots of snacks and homemade drinks. The common area courtyard was very cozy and well-kept, and there was even a cat nursing her kittens. In the evening, I enjoyed chatting with strangers in the courtyard – so comfortable and relaxing.

Seeking a hidden gem in the ancient city, I stumbled upon Zhimenghuatang. This hundred-year-old family estate, once a renowned杏林 (traditional Chinese medicine practitioner's family), features blue tiles and wooden eaves, with a courtyard overflowing with blossoms. Sunlight streams down into the central patio, creating a serene escape from the bustling Sifang Street.

The housekeeper was incredibly kind and attentive, from guiding us in and serving warm tea to offering thoughtful ginger tea and a welcome fruit platter – every detail exuded warmth. Our room had the comforting scent of ancient wood, clean and comfortable. I fell asleep to the chirping of birds and woke up to a gentle breeze. In the morning, a bowl of authentic Yunnan rice noodles; in the afternoon, tea and pastries in the courtyard; and quiet contemplation in the book bar. It was a perfect way to slow down and truly experience Lijiang.

Here, there's no need to rush to crowded spots. Simply relaxing, enjoying the flowers, and soaking up the sun are the best gifts of the journey. This healing courtyard, tucked away in the ancient city, will definitely be my first choice when I visit Lijiang again.

A truly wonderful experience! They even gifted us local Yunnan Ham mooncakes for the Mid-Autumn Festival! They even gave our two children gifts upon check-out, which was incredibly heartwarming. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Lijiang.

The hotel is located in the very heart of the ancient city, offering convenient access to everything. Renovated from a Qing Dynasty courtyard, the hotel itself exudes an antique charm. A tea table in the center of the courtyard is a delightful place for evening tea. The decor is very rustic, though due to its age, the soundproofing is somewhat poor. While there's no air conditioning, the temperature wasn't too high, and the bedding was high-quality, making for a comfortable sleep.

The hotel staff deserves special mention. They carried luggage in and out of the ancient city, helped with laundry, and provided every possible assistance. Although young, their calm yet warm and attentive service gave the hotel a homely feel, which is truly commendable. If I ever visit Lijiang again, I'll definitely stay again.

This is a beautiful guesthouse in a good location, and the breakfast is excellent. I stayed in two different rooms and both were wonderful. The staff were very helpful, including allowing me to leave a bag at the guesthouse while I hiked Tiger Leaping Gorge (which I absolutely recommend). No English is spoken but we got by with WeChat and translation services. If you need them to book your ticket for the glacier, make sure you ask them to send you screenshots of both QR codes (I could not access them myself on WeChat), as you will need these for the entrance to both the bus and the cable car. I took DiDis to the mountain park, and a local bus to Tiger Leaping Gorge (I booked this in advance at the bus stop). The staff were very helpful sending me the location pins I needed for DiDi.

I carefully selected Huajiantang Zhimengyuan before the trip, and it lived up to my expectations. They met me at the airport and collected my luggage at the gate of the ancient city, which saved me from walking on the stone-paved road in the ancient city with my luggage. The hotel is antique, the rooms are clean and tidy, the service is thoughtful and meticulous, and the in-room facilities are all available. The hotel is not far from Sifang Street, which is convenient for traveling, shopping and dining. The service attitude is very good, not too far or too close, taking care of the guests' feelings, providing fruit drinks in the room, thoughtful milk before bed, comfortable afternoon tea, and souvenirs before leaving. It's a warm service!
