Bi Village Mobile Homes by Plamar in Fazana

Spent a week here in August, family of 5 with children aged 5, 8 and 10. We had a fun week although it was incredibly busy and also very hot (35 degrees at least all week). We found the lack of seating or sunbeds at the pools a bit disappointing as there was no shade (there were a few sunbeds at each pool but nowhere near enough and you had to be there right when they opened to get them) and having to pay for umbrellas and sunbeds on the beach also frustrating. (22 euros for two beds and an umbrella for the day). We were in a comfort plus lodge which did not have any loungers or anything with it (booked direct with the site) whereas our friends were in a prestige home and had loungers on their terrace. They also had unlimited air con whereas we only had 40hours included (far too hot to sleep without it at night). Our holiday home was quite tired and did have an issue with ants coming in under the door. We felt it was a lot of money for what it was (we paid around €1800 for the week) and to not get proper air con or any sun loungers for that felt a bit much. We also had no kettle or coffee maker or chopping board. Kids activities were all expensive, lack of even a decent free playground was disappointing and the cost of the trampolines (9 euros for half an hour) was prohibitive with three children. Overall we enjoyed ourselves but wouldn't come back in August as it was just too busy and not enough space to feel like we could relax.

We were a little worried about reading some of the recent reviews so thought it would be helpful to leave a comprehensive one Booking We booked direct with Bi Village and booked a prestige Lodge relax with jacuzzi. It was clean and suitable for a family of 5 - the outside space depended on where you were located and ours wasn't as large as others in our group which was initially disappointing but not sure what we would have used it for. The jacuzzi was cleaned every few days, towels and bed sheets replaced once a week and air conditioning included with no extra costs in this type of accommodation. Transfers We flew with Tui and booked a transfer through connect to transfers which equated to approx £10 pp return- they were great very accommodating and timely. You can get the bus which is approx £5 each way (not tested 3rd hand info) and does drop you directly outside reception Payment There is no rush for you to pay the outstanding fee which we found odd - but dont stress about it as we did they are very relaxed and its easy to sort Site There are 3 pools - one is closed every other day to be cleaned (the toilets could do with a refurbishment but pools immaculate). There are less sunbeds than normal but a lovely feel you aren't on top of each other and there are artificial grass areas people can sit. We were a group of 12 and always got at least 8 beds together- some days we didn't attend the pools until 930 / 945 and we found they didn't get very busy until 11. Pools closed every day between 1 and 3 to get people out of the heat of the day- then open till 8 - caused us no issues had lunch or went to the beach Site is huge- some items need to be paid for - climbing, trampoline park, ninja course - but if you had your own volleyball, football etc courts could be booked at no cost. Also free football camp every weekday and free 1 hr kayaking tour - which wasn't overly exciting for those who have done it before but nice for kids to try the first time. Also had a 5 year old who asked to go to kids club most days as she loved it There is a small supermarket on site - some times are expensive - bakery super busy so be there early or there is a plodine a 10 min walk away and much cheaper - however its like a zoo - dont take the family and dont take prams Off site Beach- easy to access - first week of super holidays was quite quiet - second week super busy but always found a spot. Lots of chargeable items here i.e water sports, boat trips, sunbeds etc - we used towels, did some activities, snorkeling and swimming had a great time. Lots of little carts for food and drink. Most only deal in cash so make sure you have some 10 / 15 min flat walk to fazana does get busy but lovely restaurants and food - staff helpful we were a large group and of they didn't have a empty table they just created one from somewhere - at first we were struggling for kids meals but turns out most would make anything on the menu as a kids meal and just charge half

Excellent stay, great food, great weather, nice camping for families , lots of play grounds for children. Enough facilities for sports. Great work done by Emre from staff. I will definitely book again.

Emre, the animator of Bi Village was helpfull, social, friendly and a really good guy. He also help with the canoes. He makes jokes and playing in the evening musical Tarzan. A real artist!!!

The experience was pretty good, although the living was a bit difficult due to amount of noise at 10pm and the heat in the room. Overall the stay was pleasant but those two things were a nightmare. The pools are really nice to be in since they’re cool and clean. It’s also very close by to the beach with great views.

For those worried about the reviews recently just remember, we’re usually quick to write a bad review rather than a good review, admittedly I was slightly worried, but I done my research and knew that high season starts late June so everything was open when we were there, yes the pools are closed between 1-3pm but in all honesty it was a blessing as it was far too hot and dangerous for our pasty English skin to be out in it anyway, there’s a very cute bar called coco’s half way between bi village and Fazana right next to the sea with an abundance of shade and sea and lovely staff too! Yea the restaurants might not be the best you will have but for picky eaters like us they worked perfectly, you have to try the pizzas! We had a bbq at our lodge so we took a few trips to the supermarket, mornings are crazy busy so if you get overwhelmed quickly, go later! But food was fab, veg was super fresh and steak was soooo cheap!! We booked via eurocamp and the check in was easy, lots of info on arrival but a big map for you to take it all in, our lodge was perfect we booked an extra room for luggage to be stored and it worked perfectly! Everything was clean, we had all the utilities we needed to bbq, I did bring a tea towel which was a plus and we bought extra toilet roll on site. The site store was as you expect had all the amenities and a slightly higher price but no different to your usual Tesco express lets be honest and literally a skip away! Our fave restaurant was in fazana at a little place called KF right on the marina, staff were so friendly, menu was varied and the food was amazing!! There is so much to do in and around the site that you won’t be bored, yes sun beds were hard to come by sometimes, but if they had too many more it would feel over ran and let’s face it it’s a family place it’s designed for kids so you spend most of your time in the pool! Our little one is 4 so we preferred the pool with the splash park which had lots of shade when needed, toilets and lots of options for the pool. We took the bus into pula which was really straight forward and the bus driver was very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!
