Nice and spacious room, large bed, the owner very helpful and friendly, vey nice mountain view from the balcony, excellent location with hiking trails near by, only 10 min drive from Troodos.

Our experience at the hotel was great! Nice clean rooms and nice breakfast. We asked for soup at the evening and they made it specially for us. Stefano was very helpful and welcoming.

Beautiful hotel with amazing surroundings, we were welcomed by stephanos the owner on our arrival. The rooms are large with everything you need, air conditioning, TV, comfy beds and a gorgeous balcony. Our food was prepared by stephanos's father and was delicious! This new hotel in platres is where you want to stay for a warm relaxed and cosy mountain vacation. The rooms are very comfortable and warm and with a nice balcony. I loved the old retro style that goes all over the hotel areas but with new and good appliances like bathroom is fully renovated. The back yard is really beautiful as well. This hotel renovated few years ago and after that increased its prices...So i went for the first time after renovation .....before i went many times.. The look outside is very nice and the yard in front... The sitting area inside nice but small..In winter when many people visit the place the people wouldnt fit.. Everything was perfect! Excellent service and very delicious food. We tried the FRP, Greek and Cypriot breakfasts — all top-notch. Fresh juices and a great atmosphere made the morning just perfect. Highly recommend!

Potentially a lovely boutique hotel in a great spot, but a few issues mean we won’t return: - they hosted lots of kids who were staying for football matches over the weekend. The vast majority of these children were feral and terribly behaved, the bartender told me this is standard for a weekend in the summer. It’s a very cozy place with its own atmosphere. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, people are welcoming. We stayed in a rather small room but the view was astonishing. It was important that they let pets in and we could take our dog with us. We will come back again.

A nice hotel if you're on a budget. The rooms and the hotel in general are somewhat dated and could use some renovation (especially the rooms). I really liked the breakfast room. Also, the girl at the front desk was super helpful and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. Be prepared for a steep hike back to the hotel from the center of the village if you're on foot.

The hotel is quite old, and while the room had air-conditioning and a nice shower, there wasn’t really anything special about it. The breakfast was limited and didn’t offer much variety, which was disappointing. I also feel the hotel is overpriced for what it provides. However, the view was very nice and probably the best part of the stay.

It was an incredible pleasure to stay at the New Helvetia Hotel! The location and the view from the windows are stunning with all the pine trees right next to the balconies and the mountain views all around. Absolutely charming hotel up in the mountains in a beautiful village. Having a steam room and hot tub amongst the trees of the forest took the whole experience to the next level. Andrea’s the manager there was so kind and helpful and couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable.

This is a boutique hotel situated in a quiet location in a pine forest above a small mountain village. I had an excellent meal and a comfortable bed. Internal stairs, so not suitable for disabled customers.

We stopped by at this hidden gem with some friends that know the village well. The hotel is lovely, the food , exceptional!! What a great find, the chef is so good , the hotel is so Nicky laid out and am impressed by the herb and vegetable garden for the kitchen! Highly recommend you searching this hidden gem out.

After several positive recommendations, specifically for the food, finally we spent a weekend with a good bunch of friends. Our initial plan was to go for a tour on Sunday and have lunch elsewhere. Basic hotel that is very dated but just what you need for staying in the mountains and using it as a base ir quick place to stay but wouldn’t stay here if wanted to relax at the hotel! I would give 6 stars for location if I could. I enjoyed the stay,the walks between huge trees around the place and history lessons this hotel offers. It gives you the nostalgia feeling... Very much recommended for the bird watchers...

It was a one day get away on the 25th of March 2024. For a 4 star hotel i was expecting a bit more on multiple fronts. The location is good and i assume in summer when the weather is better, this hotel will be more popular than what we observed. The negatives were unfortunately more than enough. We found a bug in the bedroom for starters. Other than that the room was old, as can be seen by the furniture...

Stayed here quite a few times now. Beautiful villa in the mountains has a big pool easily accommodated mine and my friends family (10 people) on one of the occasions with lots of space for everyone.

I visited this house belonging to the organizer of my trip and his partner. I will add to the house only that it is full of very beautiful things, some of which are really art treasures. I'll concentrate here but in the village where the house is. The village is in the process of reconstruction and renovation. We had a relaxing stay. It’s perfectly placed to explore the surrounding villages and hike up to the waterfall etc. the room was nice and we had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. We had a light dinner and some wine in the evening. We’d already an eaten a big lunch but the kitchen catered to our needs and brought as a lovey salad and stuffed peppers. It's a fantastic small gem of a hotel in a beautiful village. Aside from tastefully decorated rooms, the staff are so helpful and attentive. As a vegetarian, I wondered what options I'd be offered. A stunning hotel in the lovely village of Lofou. We stayed here for 3 nights in late June and Apokryfo was a beautiful oasis from the high summer heat. The hotel is like none other, blended into the history of the village with tasteful rooms and suites in existing buildings of the town to make up the hotel.
