Nice, small family owned cozy hotel. Warm atmosphere, personalized service, especially excellent homemade food. We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended, will definitely return! Good job Mr Michalis, Chara, Stefanos and staff!!

Terrible customer service, given ai responses. tried to cancel non refundable booking more than a month in advance due to Cyprus bombings and unsafe travel advisories. Offered to book up to a year later, but plan another vacation around that is ridiculous? unlike other accommodations that we’re understanding, this is a machine like unsympathetic place. Would avoid at all costs.

In Platres there are not many places open to eat in the evening in September but we got a decent meal here with a friendly helpful waiter who was happy for us to order food early but specify a time we’d like the food to arrive, which was most accommodating. The food was great, especially the slow cooked pork. The small outdoor seating area lacked much atmosphere though the colourful plants made an attractive barrier to the road. Good value for money.

We didn't stay at the hotel, but stopped by for refreshing smoothies. The smoothie was made from local fruits and was absolutely delicious with beautiful presentation. We had a little chat with lovely manager Chara, she was so sweet and gave us some plums from their garden to go. Highly recommend this place!

We wanted a budget friendly place to use as our base camp as we would be out hiking the natural trails and this small place was recommended to us. It is family owned and operated, super friendly and very accommodating. Rooms are clean and have all the little amenities like a/c, tv, kettle, small fridge and hair dryer. Breakfast is the basics such as cereal, boiled eggs, yogurt, honey, tea and coffee but they will cook you an omelette or scrabble eggs and bacon and things like that if you want. The restaurant has a small menu but what we had (pork chop, chicken fillet) was near perfect with probably the best fries I had in forever. As a place to spend the night, shower and have some meals in while you are mostly out visiting places and hiking, this was perfect. Definitely coming back.

The positives first: the family who runs the hotel is friendly and helpful. Now for the big "but": the rooms are small, the bathroom (you can hardly call it that) is tiny, and basic amenities like a complimentary bottle of water are missing. For almost €100 for bed and breakfast, you'd expect that. In fact, the room is worth at best half that price. Dinner in the hotel restaurant: I was told I could order à la carte. Great. The laminated A4 menu listed about 20 dishes, but only 3 were actually available. Understandable given the low occupancy, but not satisfactory. Breakfast was okay, but nothing more. Two slices of toast (upon request) with 10g of butter and traces of cheese and sausage... well, not great. The whole place seems to be clinging to its former glory, but the many closed hotels and restaurants clearly show that those days are over.

Nice and spacious room, large bed, the owner very helpful and friendly, vey nice mountain view from the balcony, excellent location with hiking trails near by, only 10 min drive from Troodos.

Beautiful hotel with amazing surroundings, we were welcomed by stephanos the owner on our arrival. The rooms are large with everything you need, air conditioning, TV, comfy beds and a gorgeous balcony.
Our food was prepared by stephanos's father and was delicious! Local produce some of which is from their own farm. The family run hotel is a must visit in Platres and highly recommend the restaurant near by that is also run by the family.
Lots of easily accessible hikes near by for all abilities, so much to see from waterfalls, beautiful woodland walks and perfect sunset spots.

Was happily surprised by the hospitality of the wonderful owners Chara and Stephanos. Made me feel like home straight away. The rooms are spacious and clean, fully renovated, with good taste. Heating air-conditioning and hot water available. Very tasty food and excellent breakfast. Would recommend. Thank you for everything!

This new hotel in platres is where you want to stay for a warm relaxed and cosy mountain vacation. The rooms are very comfortable and warm and with a nice balcony.
I loved the old retro style that goes all over the hotel areas but with new and good appliances like bathroom is fully renovated.
The back yard is really beautiful as well.
We had a good time here and the hostess and staff were very helpful and polite.
