Great view from the room, easy access to hikes. The restaurant is fine (though a touch expensive, but you don't have many options around). Unfortunately, couldn't try the breakfast, as I came there to paritcipate in Troodos Terra and finished the race at around 10:00, when the breakfast was already finished.

The hotel is well situated for the Troodos area. It provides good accommodation at a reasonable price. It makes no pretence at being a five star establishment, but it does the biz. It is clean, the room is not cramped, the beds are ok, the furniture is not fussy but functional. Dinner in the restaurant was well prepared, tasty and definitely a good serving size. I have paid more and enjoyed it less...

I'll start with the positive and move to the less positive First the hotel staff is very good and courteous. The service was good I asked to change a room and they made an effort to change our room. The food is also good. Now to the not so positive the rooms are dated and with old carpeting. There is a smell of mold in the corridors of the hotel. The hotel needs redoing and refurbishing.

The room was fine, very basic. We stayed for one night so it was OK. The staff was pleasant and helpful. There was a very noisy party in the evening that ended after midnight, it was very annoying. Breakfast was nice and diverse

Rooms basic but comfortable and clean .location was brilliant we went in late October take a jumper cardigan for night time as it does get cold but they do put on a log fire and makes it really cosy they even supplies us with blankets loved it Food is really tasty we booked a massage and Jacuzzi and it was 10 out of 10. Good but not too much The rooms are old and not very comfortable. The location is excellent, near the most interesting trails. The food is average. The price is a bit too high for the quality of service, considering it's a hotel with few amenities. The breakfast is good and varied. Staff very good and kind.

Small, family run hotel situated in the heart of the forest. The hotel was really clean and the people who own it are extremely polite, helpful and welcoming. Great breakfast and the environment id extremely cosy.

I chose New Helvetia Hotel for its historic charm and mountain views, expecting to spend time in the room and enjoy the balcony. The hotel is very large, traditionally furnished , with a very steep incline to park the car to go to reception. You can park on a slip road below the hotel There are two floors but no lift. Such a charming hotel in the mountains. I really liked the ambience of the place and the fact that it has its old character. The room we were given it must have been one of the old rooms because it had old furniture in it but the bathroom was fully renovated. The bath is a bit on the small side but it's nice. Absolutely charming hotel up in the mountains in a beautiful village. Having a steam room and hot tub amongst the trees of the forest took the whole experience to the next level. Andrea’s the manager there was so kind and helpful and couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable.

This is a boutique hotel situated in a quiet location in a pine forest above a small mountain village. I had an excellent meal and a comfortable bed. Internal stairs, so not suitable for disabled customers.

In Platres there are not many places open to eat in the evening in September but we got a decent meal here with a friendly helpful waiter who was happy for us to order food early but specify a time we’d like the food to arrive, which was most accommodating. We didn't stay at the hotel, but stopped by for refreshing smoothies. The smoothie was made from local fruits and was absolutely delicious with beautiful presentation. We had a little chat with lovely manager Chara, she was so sweet and gave us some plums from their garden to go. Highly recommend this place!

We wanted a budget friendly place to use as our base camp as we would be out hiking the natural trails and this small place was recommended to us. For value for money this is an excellent large hotel in a lovely mountain setting. The bedroom was very large with a comfortable Bed, good lighting etc. The Hitel in areas in need if some refurbishment but for overall value its a good choice.

Forest Park Hotel is like a time capsule, taking you back decades! It is a living museum with all its interesting history on the walls. A brandy sour is a must. In desperate need of renovation but I hope its charm remains when it’s done. Thank you Forest Park & hope to see you again soon.

Vintage and beautiful. A "Forest" paradise in the mountains. Old, mature and full of history. It's my second time staying at Forest Park hotel. Stayed during winter, it was snowing and it was magical. This time it was summer and it was as beautiful as it gets. The smell of trees in the summer, listening to the soft wind passing through the trees. Just calmness. But the summer heat is strong this time...

We loved this little traditional house. So traditional and cozy. The fireplace is the focal point of the whole place for me. The jacuzzi is also a hit. I would recommend letting the boiler heat the water for at least an hour before attempting to fill up the bath. The house is located in old Kakopetria close to Galini cafe which is also lovely. The view from the bedroom's balcony is nice.

What a special venue! It is located in the middle of the Old Kakopetria. It is a old building complex that has been restored and has so much character. The breakfast was rich and good. Value/Price rate is sooooo high!

Very old hotel very poor renovation we should pay half the price. The breakfast few things no fruits just the picture below. Full of school pupils noisy. The only thing i liked was the waterfall sound of the river below and the great view of it in the morning.

Amazing hotel in the heart of Troodos mountain

Ok, this may not be your dream hotel or the most posh one you've ever visited. The rooms are small, the breakfast very basic and the views not the best. Overall though, this is an amazing opportunity to enjoy Kakopetria, right in its center, without going bankrupt. The prices are very affordable and the service polite and genuinely friendly. Just imagine that you can enjoy a Greek coffee on the porch...

To say we got a room at all on christmas day is almost beyond belief. The hotel was fully booked and busy with guests, the owner gave us a friendly welcome and couldn't believe we had walked 30km to Kakopetria that day in cold winter weather. We were very glad for a warm room with a good hot shower. Yes the hotel is basic and the furniture is dated, but if the service is this good even on the busiest...

The location was good and there was free wifi, hot water and heating all the time. The rooms were as clean as possible ( didn't really had high expectations ) and the breakfast was okay as well. The thing that really pissed me off though was the manager's' attitude towards some of my classmates... He was really rude sometimes and had a strange "humour". Everything here is magical and outstanding. Perfectly appointed and maintained hotel, spotlessly clean, ample breakfast, spacious rooms and bathrooms and the most idyllic location imaginable. A glorious balcony to dine on, day and night. One cannot recommend The Mill enough.

Stayed at the hotel and ate at the restaurant too. The hotel for its prices, I was expecting more “luxury” in the rooms and at the welcome. The rooms have a lot of character and tradition but bathroom could have been renovated to support the prices. (€170 for one night and the jacuzzi bath tab has extreme damage). We did not visit the hotel but instead had a meal at the restaurant. What can I say? I have heard a lot about this place and wanted to experience it for myself. The view is exquisite. Most of Kakopetria village is visible from there. The food is in a league of its own. The owners and service are delightful. I can not recommend this place enough. If you love food with a view, you will not be disappointed

Spectacular views, very average food and service. We stopped here for lunch and ordered a variety of hot apetizers. We were delivered dishes we did not order and were generally not very impressed with the overall quality and presentation of our food.

Lovely stay in the centre of Kakopetria. You can walk to the nearby village Galata without even knowing it since the two villages have reached both their borders. It is a lovely and cozy 2.5km walk from this hotel. Mrs Maria who is the owner is very polite and supportive

A great hotel with a convenient location, beautiful views and very friendly staff

My first time was when it was renovated back in 2013 and overall it was very good! I went back for a second visit in August 2020 and luckily we were given the same room as in 2013 (The MG suite). It seems like they don't look after the rooms a lot. 2 of the 4 bulbs of the light feature where blown out. Beautiful hotel in the mountains! Stayed for three nights as a change to a coastal holiday to explore and hike in the Troodos mountains. Lovely furnishings and finishes in the rooms. Lovely rooms, fantastic location but they advertise a bar, sorry but you cannot use it unless you book in advance. We stayed for 2 nights and were not allowed a drink either night due to not booking, there was no requirement when we booked to do this. We had a lovely suite on the third floor. However what is not written anywhere is that to get to these rooms you have to walk up a steep, open stepped staircase, there must be people who have booked these rooms who could not walk up these stairs. We asked for assistance with our case which we readily got. The suite was very spacious with fantastic views. The choice at breakfast could have been better...

Very nice atmosphere and nice location

Very nice room, spacious and quite modern with a great bathroom. The breakfast, although not a buffet it was simple but very good. You get a drink of your choice, toasted bread, ham cheese cucumber tomato, jam and butter, fried hallumi fried egg and fried traditional sausage. It was delicious.

Located within the centre of the village with accommodation spread out across the village. The first issue you face is parking...you basically have to find parking somewhere in the village as there is no dedicated parking lot (some people park just outside the village centre on the other side of the bridge). Our check-in experience was a bit long-winded and there was no welcome drink or similar...

Love this hotel. It just keeps getting better. Theres a super homely feel to everything, the staff are amazing and food is soooooo good. If you are vegan I’d recommend emailing them before you go as while there are vegan options on the menu, they are limited and they can get more ready for you. We love having a fireplace in all the rooms and the nature trails around the village are spectacular.

An amazing luxury boutique and spa hotel located in the heart of one of the most beautiful villages in Cyprus! The rooms are rustic style harmonized with the rest of the environment! The stay was fair, the hostess was quite helpful with everything unlike her husband (Fanis) who didn't show enough hospitality but he was quite sarcastic and ironic when I asked "why you don't have reception".

The accommodation has great views of the neighbor village Kalopanayotis. The apartment is big but it could have been cleaner. Unless you go back to Kalopanayotis, you won't find any store or restaurant nearby, make sure you have everything you need before arriving.
