Quick check-in and check-out, clean rooms, the lady at the desk was nice.

We needed one night stop on our business trip to Central Europe (late arrival, early departure), so it was pointless to spend too big money for such accommodation. I chose Hotel Nikolas because it was on the road and offered free parking. My first impression was rather negative, as the building didn't look very inviting from the outside, but I have to admit that it turned out to be a good choice. The price was quite high for the standard, but the rooms were clean and soundproofed, and the breakfast was also good.

The room is rather small and very simply equipped. The bathroom is fine, without any luxury. The staff at the reception is friendly and efficient. The breakfast was very classical but fine. No problem for a one-night stay.

Large single room halfway between train station and old town centre (15 min walk). Very friendly and informative staff. Trams outside on main road not a problem for us. Bed was squeeky and a little to firm. But overall a very good stay. Thanks.

Facilities: While renovated, the hotel lacks user-friendly features. Details like insufficient hot water and a lack of outlets near the bedside could be improved.
Cleanliness: Okay, but the quilt and towels were a bit hard and uncomfortable.
Environment: Conveniently located near the train station.
Service: Breakfast options are limited.

Small hotel caught in between the train station and city center. Therefore the location is not ideal. Also a bit of walk to the tram stop. Supermarket (that I was able to spot) is one stop away.

This so called hotel is advertised with a restaurant and spa. Unfortunately the restaurant is since one year no more and the spanwas shut if it really exists.
I choose this hotel during the Xmas period for it's restaurant advertising original Czech dishes. Ostrava, like many places totally closes during Xmas so I really needed a hotel with restaurant.
The owner told me on the 24 th Dec to ask at the tourist information office ( stupid idea ) and wished me luck. Apart from the breakfast I had zero to eat on the 24 , 25 and all day 26 until I found a pizza place that opened.
I've tried to reach out to the hotel and booking com but am being ignored.
Thanks to this dump for ruining my Christmas!!!!
