Older budget hotel that hasn't seen many repairs in the last few years. The owners and staff were very pleasant and friendly. Being a budget hotel, I didn't expect tremendous luxury, but the rooms need a lot of work. The toilet was was already stopped up when I checked in. The bed was hard and the pillows lumpy. Several pieces of tile were missing in the bathroom. The old tube-type TV was hard to turn on and displayed video only in black and white. The best aspect of the room was the AC which was freezing cold. The WiFi internet was adequate. There was a nice pool in the garden area, but I didn't try it out. Overall an OK place for a quick cheap stay.

dogs barking all night, lounge tv way to loud.lumpy dollar store pillows .2 inch thick mattress

I am Ingrid. I've been here since April 4th. So far it's been extremely positive. Awesome people!!! I don't care luxury so I am extremely happy here. Rooms are very clean; food is excellent, nice swimming pool. It's a family business, the owners are sooooo nice. I extended my stay seven (7) more days. I highly recommend Castello Italiano. Very big rooms, hot water, free Wifi. It's close to the beach, stores, restaurants, perfect welcoming environment, I am very happy here.

I give this place a 1 star but not because I hated it. It is a very basic accommodation at a basic price. If your looking for chandeliers and valet service you're in the wrong place. I have stayed here 3 times and would stay again. Family run hotel. Rooms are extremely dated but clean. Close to central Boca Chica. Daily maid service. Italian spoke here mostly. Not big on maintenance. Place has a little charm of it's own.

I had breakfast in the restaurant of this hotel, the food was delicious, it was a Dominican breakfast and it included natural juice and coffee. The environment is good and it is close to the beach. The lady who attends a love ❤️
