A hotel in bad need of updating. Especially on hot summer days. Lack of air fans, when there is no air conditioning in the building makes this place a hard place to sleep in. The hotel is special for its theme as it was a prison before. The room is clean and secured. The staff and very friendly to guide you the direction. The restaurant has quiet and private place to eat, blending in the nature! Though a bit far away from the centre, take light luggage is high suggested!

Hotel is spacious and has an interesting history. The location, including the rest of the Kakola restaurants and businesses is beautiful although a bit in convenient to reach/leave. The bed was comfortable, but our blanket did not cover the two of us. It was too small for the bed. There are no blackout curtains so it was not dark in our room. The towels were very thin.

The room is clean and well-equipped with coffee, tea bags, a kettle and a microwave. The bathroom is also very nice. There is free parking not far downstairs. The front desk will send the door password, which is the same as the room password.

Hot as hell Hot as hell. There was a fan, but it did of course not cool anything down, but moving the air arround made it a bit more bearable. Still, it was only about +22 outside, and the curtains drawn, so a bit of a mystery how it could be so hot inside.

Good location, right next to the river. Rooms are very outdated and worn down. The air in the room stands still. Feels like there is no oxygen. Receptionist just told us that is because there is no airconditioning but it almost feels like that the rooms are not ventilated at all. Beds are nice and we enjoyed the breakfast as well.

Nice location in the middle of Turku's shopping pedestrian street. They have parking available. Really good service and friendly staff. Good quality hotel A good Sokos hotel with central location, just a few minutes of walking to marketplace. The breakfast is one of the best I've experienced in Turku, with a lot of warm and cold alternatives and some nice local products also. My room was tidy and beautifully decorated. It was a very comfortable, spacious, and great place for a family of four. The bathroom and shower were separate, and the space itself was spacious and convenient. Located in the heart of the city, there were plenty of great restaurants nearby, and the main Gongwangji area was a short bus ride away, making it incredibly convenient. Early room We needed to attend a wedding and naturally wanted to change clothes but this was before the rooms were released. The personal was very helpful and got us a room ahead of time - even though the hotel was fully booked and there was still three hours to official time to get a room.

Simple hotel with good location. The toilet construction needs improvement. Toilet roll is far away from toilet seat. Showering will splash waters nearly everywhere. The blankets are dirty with brown patches on most of them. Location is perfect in the middle of the city. Basic amenities are ok, no more no less.

The room is spacious, bright and clean (especially since we just arrived in Turku from London, we felt that the room was super big). The only downside is that the facilities are outdated and there is not a single USB port, which is not very friendly for people who don't have a conversion plug. It is unimaginable that mobile phones cannot be charged now.

Overall good experience. Clean, centrally located, easy access to the parking. Breakfast buffet good. Little issue with the parking payment as I was unable to pay at check out. Now the parking company will send the bill to the car rental company, which might charge additional charges for processing the parking ticket.

A former luxury spa, perhaps a bit run down. The family room is spacious and the spa is nice. The place closes too early on weekends, so it's worth going for a swim as soon as you arrive. Hesburger was closed even though it was supposed to be open according to the opening hours. The food at the Classic Pizza restaurant came quickly, and food was good.

Kids like here, as hotel guests can also visit to water theme park. The hotel is a bit old, but still acceptable. I don't like the parking service -- hotel doesn't provide free or discounted parking for guests, and it is quite expensive, I spent almost 30€ for the parking.

It was our second visit to Holiday Club Caribia, Turku. Surprisingly we got exactly the same room to stay as of previous time in 2021. The swimming pools are the best part of the hotel, the rooms were not properly cleaned up, we found lots of dust in the corners of the room. Bathroom was better than the last visit. Very average hotel with poor adult facilities, but a great place for children. If you want to relax and spend time there as if you are in spa hotel, it is not a right place. Children are everywhere. Also they have quite bad sound isolation in the rooms. You will hear every cry.
