Reviews
• Sea views from some rooms
• Quiet neighborhood with minimal street noise.
• Right beside the Port Fréjus marina for easy walks, cafés, and boat watching.
• Calm, low-key common areas; good for a quiet getaway.
• Staff interactions were standard/professional.
• Good value if you secure a sea-view rate and don’t need many in-room extras.
Cons
• On-site parking is very limited and was unavailable during our stay.
• Street parking around the hotel is complicated, pay-by-hour, and spaces are hard to find.
• Elevators are extremely slow; frustrating at check-in/checkout and with luggage.
• In-room amenities are minimal; facilities feel spartan with few extras.
• Overall value drops once you factor in paid parking and time spent circling for a spot.
Rooms were not ready at the time promised, several guests were waiting. Pool rules were ridiculous, only tight trunks/speedos, no Coca Cola zero allowed etc. No cleaning one day and no towels the next
Nice location on the beach in the harbour
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful – definitely a highlight of our stay.
Breakfast was okay, not bad, but nothing special either.
The biggest issue for us was the spa. It’s not included in the room price, and even after paying, you can only book limited time slots (10–13 or 15–18). This means if you want to use it both in the morning and evening, you have to pay twice. For a hotel that advertises itself as a spa destination – and with room prices on the higher end for the region – this policy was very disappointing. We initially thought the spa access was included.
Also, I found it quite strange that I wasn’t allowed into the pool with a brand new swim short. They said only traditional swimwear (briefs or tight-fitting swimsuits) were allowed for "hygiene reasons," which I don’t really understand. The swim short was completely clean and never worn before.
One of the lifts was not working, it was also quite a problem.
From the outside, the hotel looks nice—with a revolving door entrance that gives a good first impression. However, two of the three entrance doors had no handles, just visible holes where handles used to be. The receptionist was very kind, professional, and almost always present. She spoke French very well, didn’t speak Italian (which is understandable), and only a few words in English, mixed with French—but we managed to communicate. Her manner was very polite and pleasant.
The Accor website says "recently renovated," but the hotel feels dated and a bit worn. There are two elevators for guests: one was out of service due to maintenance, and the other was extremely slow. During peak hours (breakfast and spa), it was often full and hard to get—sometimes we waited up to 10 minutes.
Room: Clean, with a TV and kettle. However, the minibar only contained two small cartons of milk—no bottled water, no alcoholic beverages, which you'd expect in a 4-star hotel.
Bathroom: Split into two areas. One tiny room with just a toilet and no window. The other area had a small sink and a shower. I found two or three long hairs on the shower wall—not mine. No soap bars, shower caps, or standard toiletries, just a wall-mounted dispenser above the sink and in the shower. Towels were clean.
Breakfast (€20 per person): Really overpriced. Only one type of croissant—fresh but plain, with no filling. The pain au chocolat was decent, though with very little chocolate inside. No cakes, just pink-glazed donuts (I didn’t try them), some small cookies and mini pastries. Scrambled eggs looked unappetizing, and the sausage wasn’t to my taste (though that’s subjective). No bacon. Orange juice was good, but not freshly squeezed. Cappuccino was self-service from a machine—just okay.
Parking: No drop-off area in front of the hotel to load or unload luggage. There’s a large free parking lot about 200 meters away, but it can be hard to find a spot since it’s also used for beach access. Paid parking spots nearby are usually full.
Overall: I wasn’t satisfied with my stay. The price is high for what the hotel actually offers—basically just a place to sleep. If you want to use the spa, you have to pay extra. If you want breakfast, you have to pay extra.
I’m sorry to say I won’t be coming back.
