Hotel Alpen Ruitor in Meribel

Wonderful hotel, charming staff, amazing breakfast and perfect location. Merci!

We stayed here 4 nights for a ski trip. The hotel is located directly at the skilifts and because of the altitude of 1850 meters you can ski in-ski out. The main reason why we chose this place so late in the season; Meribel Mottaret. That is one of the positive points of this hotel, others being the friendly staff, and the interior giving a cosy atmosphere. Also the balcony enabling enjoyment of the sun is worth the extra money. Being able to prepare sandwiches for lunch was an asset. So, why not giving 5 stars? Well, because of these negatives: Price-quality it is not living up to its promises. Sleep quality is poor because of the poor double bed; we rolled towards each other and the outside noise during the evening and night caused by the bars directly underneath the hotel. The hotel has taken measures against that by thick double balcony doors, but when you prefer to sleep with open windows, like we do, and there is no air condition in the room, you are suffering. We took half board in the La Table restaurant, which serves good food but the cellar, where it is located, is cold, uncomfortably cold. The other restaurant Savoyard on the ground floor, which can also be used for the halfboard, is a bit warmer. The room's wifi is intermittent. The parking is very expensive. Hotel was found in 1966, which you can still notice in the bath room's marble.

Britt and Ben were great chalet hosts at an awesome chalet. The chalet is ＜5 min walk to la Truite and also to motterat centre. The chalet is a good size and a plus is the hot tub. Britt and Ben were awesome cooks and the standard of meals was really good! Only slight niggle to Alpine Elements would be to have more full cooked breakfasts. But overall great location and facilities meaning a stress free and faff free holiday!

Each meal Mary and Maisie cooked for us was 10/10 and they were so welcoming and friendly. The hot tub and sauna were great and the location of the chalet was perfect.

We had the best time ever. Great accommodation and the service was first class. Maisie and Mary fed us so well and helped us with all we needed. Fantastic people and time away. Thanks

Mary and Maisie were fantastic! Great host and brilliant personalities which added to the atmosphere of the chalet. The afternoon cake was a perfect treat to come back to and the meals were smashing everyday. Would definitely recommend to other friends and family.

We had a great week with family in chalet cretet. The chalet is in a good location, not far from the lifts and is beautifully done out. We loved the spending time in the hot tub and sauna after being out on the slopes. The chalet hosts Maisie and Mary were amazing and catered for our every need. They were flexible when we wanted to stay out for apres ski and the food was amazing! Thanks girls for an amazing week!
