Hotel Alba in St. Malo

Stopped for a refreshing drinks while walking along the shoreline. Beers and the view from the terrace were fine, but chunk of plaster dropped right in the middle of our table into the small bowl of peanuts spreading them all over. We were lucky it didn't hit us in the head. Well, anything can happen, but it was very odd none of the staff gave us any explanation or apologies for the same.

"Deluxe family suite with sea view" a garage/basement looking room with no privacy (outside people being able to look inside the bedroom) and the "sea view" being a staircase that leads to a terrace shared with the entire hotel. 300 euros for 1 night down the drain, SHAMEFUL. DO NOT TRUST THESE SCAMMERS

We are on the sea wall in Saint-Malo, not at the Carlton, Cannes or Martinez! We drank a PERRIER AND A SPRITZ on the terrace for €16!!!!! That's really making fun of the customer!!! Making fun of the world!! Never again! In this case, it's better to go to the terrace of the Thermes Marin.

Double room called "deluxe" with sea view. Sea view: yes Deluxe: yes, only in terms of price Room number 6, cramped, barely 10 square meters, with 1 bed of 140, 1 IKEA style shelf, 1 small table and a stool: very limited circulation. The proportional bathroom: if you are a little overweight, you will have great difficulty getting into the shower. Furthermore, when booking, we asked about the catering options on our arrival, we were told that the restaurant was open until 9 p.m. We arrived at 8:30 p.m., but there was a private party! We were then told that we were going to ask the chef what he could serve us! .... A lack of professionalism, an excessive price, even abusive. In short, an impression of not getting your money's worth. Profitability does not always go well with customer well-being and satisfaction 🥹

Very disappointed with the hotel. Having taken the sea view supplement, the view is indeed very beautiful but the room is very small, not clean, a foul smell fills the room and seems to come from the bathroom (there are in fact no photos of it on the site, there is a reason: it is dilapidated), it is cold and damp. Mold stains present in the bathroom, dirty stains on the furniture and the bedspread. If you book parking via the site it is indicated at 9 euros but on site it is 15 euros and moreover this does not confirm that you will have a space because there are 4 and they are often already reserved, so you have to park on the street and it is quite narrow. Given that it was cold we wanted to turn on the heating but it did not work. At the price of the room, hygiene and a minimum of comfort should be required but this is not the case
