Great host and beautiful place!

A mixed experience in the Camargue...
A small hotel, with a dozen rooms, rather simple but comfortable. The whole place could do with a little updating, but the location makes up for everything else.
The cleanliness is excellent. The bathroom is pleasant. The main bedding is good, but the extra bed—yes, even in the junior suite for 4 people—is only a rollaway bed, like a trundle bed, which leaves something to be desired. I only recommend it for children under 10.
Breakfast can be taken indoors or outdoors, rather expensive, but hey, we enjoyed the terrace and its magnificent view of the outdoor park and the horses.
The swimming pool is an obvious plus; however, it should be noted that it is not heated and, in May, for example, it remains very, very cool.
Finally, the friendliness of the management couple clearly needs improvement, in my opinion. No particular effort was made upon arrival or departure. We were asked as soon as we arrived, even though our vehicle was securely parked. During our stay, we were also criticized for making too much noise, even though we had spent the day riding, returned home at 8:00 p.m., very tired, and were all asleep by 10:00 p.m. We didn't understand the source of the inconvenience, especially since no explanation was given.
We might return because the rides with Élise, who owns the hotel's horses, were an unforgettable experience, of the highest quality. Without that, I don't think so.

We (2 adults 2 children) had a really lovely stay. Family room was fantastic - super clean, very comfortable, fantastic bathroom. Hosts were kind and friendly and helpful. Such a delight to wake up with the birds and horses. Would love to go back.

Everything was excellent! The service, the friendliness of the owners and staff, the facilities, the room, the pool, the breakfast. Everything was perfect. It exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended for family, friends, and couples.

The Mas des Barres is strategically located for visiting the Camargue and is just steps from the bird sanctuary. The property is very clean and well-maintained. The linens and mattress are high-quality. We stayed in a comfort double room (n8). The pool is refreshing and tidy. The bathroom is spacious and brand new. The warm yet discreet welcome from Corina and Volker is the added bonus of this place, where it's easy to recharge. A highly recommended Mas!

A beautiful immersion in the Camargue! A charming hotel in the Camargue marshes and among the horses. A warm welcome, our room was rather small but booked late so probably no other choice! but very clean. Hearty varied breakfast with fresh and local products.

Charming, friendly owners, swimming pool, good breakfasts, impeccable, easy access for married couples to Saintes de la Mer etc... we were supposed to stay 2 days but we stayed 4 days!

Ideal location for exploring the Camargue. Very pleasant environment in the heart of nature, stables next to the farmhouse for horseback riding (for a fee). Comfortable room. Very welcoming owners available to give advice.
