A few hiccups, but otherwise an amazing stay. A VERY UNUSUAL side of France most people outside of France don't know about. Abundant wildlife, Camargue white horses, Flamingos, and countless other species. The hotel has a fancy Dude-Ranch charm to it. Along with stables, pools, a spa and many things to do. A treat.

Amazing experience! The hotel was in a beautiful location, immersed in the nature. There is a river flowing near the whole hotel. The food was really good, the service a bit slow but nothing dramatic. The rooms were really cozy and well cleaned.

Beautiful cabanes which are very comfortable and well appointed. Some communal areas such as the swimming pools require a little maintenance. Overall good but lacking attention to detail expected at this price point.

This place was really beautifully decorated and close to everything. The Sevice was good. However there was a rancid smell in our room that the people in reception did not take seriously. I guess they thought us to be smelly Americans. I think there was an issue with their sewage line or something. I hope they get it fixed.

This is a very Nice authentic hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious, ours had a nice terrace. Its a Small hotel with a pool, walking distance from the town of Saintes maries Centre with its restaurants and 5min from Boho Beach. There is parking available outside.

Excellent place to stay in Camargue ! The hotel is near to the road, but extrenely well protected from the noise and the surrounding. It is very calm, has a wonderfull pool and jacuzzi. This is a very convenient place where to stay at a walking distance from the center of town. We enjoyed the comfortable room, the heated pool and the free parking. Breakfast was delicious with good quality food. Enjoyed our coffee in the room and at breakfast. Staff was very kind and welcoming!

Nice place, little bit outside but very quiet.!! Booking.com said we are able to Check in late but when we arrived it was closed. A nice guy from the hotel opened for US and Do the Check in outside of regular Business Times. Very very friendly!! If we are in the area again i Would definitly stay there again!!

The grounds of the hotel were fabulous! I actually saw a flock of pink flamingos fly above the hotel. The employees were very helpful and friendly. Hotel is well situated for visiting the Camargue area and offers ample parking. However, the smell of humidity was very strong in the room and not pleasant.

All rooms are clustered in a semi circle round a natural pond. Ours enjoyed a pleasant aspect , sitting on the terrace we were entertained by a family of water hens. The swimming pool was delightful which is more than can be said for the general maintenance of the hotel. It looked tired and unloved. For instance, the bathroom fan ran continuously, the shower was dangerous, one minute cool and the next...

The breakfast was not included in the room price, however it was a rich breakfast worth the extra payment. We rented bike at the hotel which made the ride into St Maries easy without using our car. The Mas des Barres is strategically located for visiting the Camargue and is just steps from the bird sanctuary. The property is very clean and well-maintained. The linens and mattress are high-quality. We stayed in a comfort double room (n8). The pool is refreshing and tidy. The bathroom is spacious and brand new. Very central location next to beaches and old town. Service is very attentive and great. Great little hotel. We are on a road trip and needed somewhere to shower and rest our heads for a few hours. They had a nice, quiet room available with a good shower and hot water. It’s not a 5 star Hilton, but it was all we needed. The owner/host was friendly and accommodating.

The rooms are very comfortably furnished. My partner and I spent a very pleasant time there. The breakfast was very tasty and filling. The two owners are very nice and accommodating. Above all, her younger son, who always ate in the breakfast room before school, will remain in our memories in the most pleasant way. 🙂 We look forward to our next visit to the hotel.

We spent one night there. Rooms are old but clean, bathroom seems to be renewed. There was air-conditioning in the room, that is true advantage in a summer heat. Restaurant was ok. Access to sea is very nearby and is wonderful. Just a few rooms have a sea view.

Perfect weekend! We had an Amazing weekend!! We stayed in the gypsy wagon. So cute and comfortable! We had a private patio also! Breakfast was delicious. Everyone was so friendly. AMAZING! I loved our weekend stay. We were in the Gypsy Wagon, so cute! The whole property was clean and welcoming. We arrived late because of a airline delay and they stayed up to greet us! I stayed here for a few nights in Oct /Nov. What a wonderful property! Everything you need in one clean, well-located, and fun hotel. I stayed in the gypsy caravan and it was great! The owners are kind, efficient, and super informative. I loved my stay here and would go back in a heartbeat.

My Dad and I stayed at Le Fangassier for two nights. Botb of our rooms and bathrooms were spacious, spotlessly clean and well presented. The beds were so comfortable and the air con was very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were always available to offer advice or answer any questions. Corinne was very welcoming and helpful and explained everything as we arrived. We paid for the comfort room, the size was good, the bathroom was OK but the balcony was dusty and wet (rained), it was the winter season. Stayed one night on the way and loved it so much that we came back for another night. Twice had the pleasure to be checked in by Caroline who made sure we were made to feel very welcome. If you’re lucky enough to have a room at the back you can hear all sorts of birds singing at dawn and dusk.

loved it a wonderful place. very authentic furnishings - true to France and the region, which has a lot in common with cowboy culture and Spanish missions. the surrounding terrain is beautiful and we had a nice horse ride through it. famous films of the wild white horses of the Camargue were filmed here in the 50s.
