Garden Hotel in Rennes

It's fairly basic and the price (135€/night for this?!) seems to be quite high for the value it offers. I observed the following facts from my solo stay in January:

1) The elevator is *extremely narrow* (the smallest and narrowest I have ever seen), so much so that I was unable to turn conveniently to press the buttons. Thankfully I had a small luggage, but otherwise it'd not fit into the elevator, and I'd have to carry it upstairs.

2) The bed was not a truly double bed, it was two single beds put together.

3) Only one toilet paper provided (sure one can ask for more as needed, but this is the first time I'm seeing this).

4) No restaurant in the hotel itself.

5) I asked for the thermostat in the bedroom, as I was not able to find it. There was only one person at the reception, who was otherwise cordial; she verbally explained how to find it, but I was still not able to find it despite trying for some time. I'd expect a bit more coordination, given that January is a winter month.

The good thing is that it's conveniently located (10 minutes on foot from the station and close to the center).

Having stayed at several hotels and AirBnB's, I'd not call this establishment a true hotel by any standard. From the outside, it looks charming, but inside, this is a fairly basic establishment to host people with minimal amenities, and that's it. Coupled with the above observations, and noticing the five-minute shower rule posted on walls, I had the feeling that the business is trying to be as minimalistic and economic as possible - a far cry from convenience.
